re: Hue Jackson or Brian Schottenheimer?
Edge to the Shott.

I certainly do not follow the Raiders as a "back-up team to the Rams" [there is no such rebound team for me, only 'other NFL interests'] but it seems to me that Oakland never did get their act together offensively: In part due to Carson Palmer and in part due to all those penalties -- which set a new NFL record BTW, albeit shared by their defense.
'Not sure but I just can't see a Jeff Fisher / Hue Jackson tandem working out the solution to eliminate such dreadful baggage. I think Shottenheimer has a better prospectus as OC.
Truth be known, I would have preferred a Mad Martz 2012 offense to go with our new HC but that's over now.

AV, I really like those signature photos and moral-of-the-story you have right now. LOL Perfect caption to Fisher's look.Last edited by RealRam; -01-20-2012 at 06:58 PM. Reason: Off topic

It's a toss up for me, both have some baggage for they way they went out with their prior teams.

re: Hue Jackson or Brian Schottenheimer?
Jackson in a landslide. He's proven he can turn things around in a hurry and can maximize what he has to work with, making good decisions along the way. Schottenheimer, not so much. I'd be thrilled to get Jackson.

re: Hue Jackson or Brian Schottenheimer?
Id like to stay away from Schotty, now Ive learned more about him. Its riskier than I would like, but Jackson is probably worth the gamble. I cant think of too many better OC's than Jackson, so the Rams are quite lucky he is available.?

Jackson all day, and twice on Sunday. As I said in another thread, Jackson has immediately bettered his offense everywhere he's gone.

re: Hue Jackson or Brian Schottenheimer?
After reading everyone's opinion in various threads over the last week or so, I'm scared to death of Schotty. Jackson for sure.
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

re: Hue Jackson or Brian Schottenheimer?
From an outsider's perspective (to the jets and raiders), I have to give Jackson the nod on this one. His team was on the rise, while Schotts was on the decline. Sure there are other factors involved, but I liked the way Jackson's team performed this year.

re: Hue Jackson or Brian Schottenheimer?
Whichever one that takes Sam Bradford's salary into consideration, and makes him earn his money. That's a whole lot of millions to go out there and just hand the ball off to Steven Jackson all day. And if need be, hopefully quiet Stan kroenke will communicate that message to Jeff Fisher.

re: Hue Jackson or Brian Schottenheimer?
I voted a strong preference for Jackson, as I think he's a much better OC, and a much more capable coach that Schotty. Further, I think he's had a good experience the last couple years working with a strong runner and working on the pass from there.
The Jets offense was bland, boring, and there is a reason why the only place he could stay was there. Did the Jets offense scare anyone when Herm was coaching there? Did it scare you the last couple years? Now what about the Raiders? 'Nuff said.I believe!
