I am a die hard Isaac Bruce fan people do not get me wrong. He will always be my favorite player. The person who replaces Bruce would be Drew Bennett. My prediction is that Bennett will equal if not produce more than Bruce next year. RACK AS JIM ROME WOULD SAY BABY!!!!

I want to go into more detail as to why I believe my predicttion will occur.
1) offense as a whole will be healthy. From SJ to bulger to OP...
2) this offense will allow Bennett to play to his potential.( A LITTLE REDUNDANT BUT OH WELL)
3) Bennett is actually healthy. hard to go up for jump balls when you have a bum leg
4)He will have a chip on his shoulder...

i think the two keys for bennetts success are opportunity and health, hes being given the opportunity , the talent is there but he needs to stay healthy . he has always had nagging injuries .

Its not even a fair comparison. I like the fact we did not sign Bruce to a multi year contract and will most likely draft a WR early to battle it out with Bennett for the #1 WR. Bennett has proven in the past that he can be a starting WR. He was a #1 Wr with Tennesse. He may not have been a good #1 but he cayght several balls and would be a decent #2.

The only fair way to compare the two is if they where playing on the same team and both starting. To many factors come into play QB play, RB play, OL play, offensive schemes same but usage (Holt draws best CB), etc.

No good way to compare the two this year although I am happy with the decision that was made.

Same reasons I could give that Bruce would have had a better season this year than last if Drew Bennet had never darkened the doorstep.

Bruce has averaged 55 rec., 785 yards, and 3 TDs in the open offenses of Martz & Linehan over the recent past. If Bennett can match that, all you haters are going to owe B4L a big apology. For the record, Bennett averaged nearly those numbers (52 rec., 738 yards, 3.5 TDs) in Norm Chow's run first offense.

I'm not sure how Bennett will do this season but Ike went to the worst offense in the NFL and will have to rely on Alex Smith as the man throwing to him.:x

This will be an interesting comparison as the season rolls along.

Let Me Reiterate That Bruce Is My Favorite Player Ever In The History Of The Nfl... But At The Same Time, If Bennett Is Healthy Last Year He Would Of Put Up Respectable Numbers...

THE MAIN REASON WHY WE HAVE SUCH A HEX ON BENNETT IS BECAUSE EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD BELIEVES(WHICH MAY BE TRUE TO SOME EXTENT) THAT BENNETT IS THE REASON WHY BRUCE WAS LET GO.... WHEN WE PICKED UP BENNETT LAST SEASON, EVERYONE WAS ALL ECSTATIC, NOW WE'RE PRETTY MUCH TELLING HIM TO GO F*** HIMSELF IN ESSENCE... WHERE IS THE TRUTHFULNESS TO OUR TEAM????
