I don't care how Kroenke gets it done.

Buy the Rams and get a waiver of the cross ownership rule....?

Buy the Rams and sell his interest in Denver's NBA and NHL franchises....?

Buy the Rams and sell them to his wife....?

    I don't care.

However the deal gets done is fine with me. Kroenke and his wife are extremely deep pockets. Stan (who I believe would be running the ship regardless of who is technically the owner) is a sports fan who wants to win. Completing the deal will be good for the Rams.

As far as the cross-ownership rule goes... again, I don't care. Frankly, I think its an unnecessary rule. I get that its supposed to protect the Broncos' interests but, seriously, what difference would it really make? Even if you think it would make a difference if Kroenke owned franchises in both St. Louis and Denver, the issue belongs to the Broncos, not the Rams.

So just get it done, Stan. I don't care how.

Re: I don't care how Kroenke gets it done.

Since Georgia died i have been hoping that Kroenke winds up as the owner. I agree with av, i dont care how he gets it done. I do, however, care how long it takes, because i remain convinced that the longer the period of uncertainty drags on, the worse it will be for the rams (as would be true for any business in ownership limbo).

I see no reason for commish to sit on this issue. It is what it is. The league should make a decision, seek a compromise or take some other action, because the league knows that the situation (status quo) is bad for everyone.

As i have posted before, i would LOVE to see a copy of the sale agreement along with Khan's commitment letter from his lender. how long is khan's lender going to hang around with this type of uncertainty and what will hapeen to the pricing of the debt financing? Those are critical business questions impacting the situation.

I think the league likes to F the Rams over regardless of the matter. Seems like we always get the short end of the straw on everything. How hard is it to say yay or nay to such a silly rule?

Why keep us in limbo this long? Letting Stan give controlling interest to his wife is perfect. It allows Stan to be the unofficial owner and it allows them to keep their stupid rule..

I agree with Av and GC on getting it done. The longer it takes, the more distracting it is. I also think the "cross ownership" rule is an archaic device that should have been left behind in the last century. The league is long past having to worry about competing with baseball or basketball. They definitely stand on their own and shouldn't have to worry about any interference.

Get it done so everyone can focus on what's important, hitting others and winning!

While I share everyone's concern about this transition dragging on, I'm a little nervous about this wife thing. What happens if hubby gets hit by a bus; Georgia II ?

GAH!! I hadn't thought of that. There's gotta be a way that we can make sure Kroenke does not go swimming in any body of water deeper than 6 inches.

I've wondered for years over Carroll Rosenbloom's drowning incident. Just never sat well with me.

Kroenke's hair and mustache have amazingly strange buoyancy properties that allow him to float for long periods of time... we should be good this time.

Exactly! In the event of a water landing, that rug may be used as a floatation device.

We may be in royalty if Stan's wife owns the Rams.

She is the daughter of the co-founder of Walmart.

Yeah, a kingdom built on shoddy goods and sweat shop labor. My heart's swelling with pride...lol..

She'd probably outsource the team to cut labor costs....

Attention Walmart shoppers; our very own Rangoon Rams game is being shown in the TV department right now.Former head coach and current Walmart Greeter, Scott Linehan, will be demonstrating our new 42-device remote control and combination beer & Cheez Whiz dispenser during every 15 minute advertising break..

Woah woah, considering there were roughly seven plays in his playbook and he clearly couldn't teach Alex Barron to count past four, don't you think 42 devices is a bit of a challenge for our Scotty Boy?

I believe he was referring to a remote that could control 42 devices. Kinda the ultimate "universal" remote on steroids.
