I don't understand how this happened

The winner of the Fed Ex ground player of the week is Clinton Portis. He only ran for 15 more yards than Steven Jackson. And guess how many TD's Steven had? Yeah, he had 3 and guess how many Clinton Portis got. He had 1.... Either these are some pretty stupid people voting or they just don't like the Rams. I think it is a little of both.

They could do worse than naming Portis. Sure, Jackson had a great week and that one big romp for 50+ yards, but you could argue that Portis' performance was more pivotal to his team in a close win over the Browns than Jackson's field day racking up the yards on a demoralized Cowboys team.

Yeah, just as the rams game was switched for non-competitiveness, Jackson was overlooked because of facing a non-competitive team.

Internet voting by 'fans' would have to be considered an inexact science, at best.

Because people vote for the RB on the trendy team... That's how it works in the NFL. Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, Steelers... all trendy teams who have bandwagon jumpers all over the continent.
