I have this feeling the Rams will trade Salas

I have not read or heard rumors, I might be starting one. As much as I like Salas, he went to my high school and is from my home town. Truth be told the old regime used back to back draft picks on two receivers that are just too similar. Pettis has really out played Salas and looks like a different guy then we saw last year. He's 6'3 good hands and is showing up. Salas has done nothing in preseason, he's struggling with the transition to the outside.

Les last night said they are getting calls about our receivers. This new FO has not given away anything for free. Why not trade Salas now and keep Nick Johnson on the roster until Pettis comes back in week three. I just can't see Les not moving one of the three Pettis, Gibson or Salas. One is going to be gone. The question is which one and when do you pull the trigger to maximum value.

I don't know if he's on the block or not, but I will say that, if the Rams do trade him, my preference would be for them to acquire a young prospect at a position of need (safety, for example) rather than a late draft choice.

IMO, they should get rid of Gibson. Can't stand that guy.

Packaging Gibson and Fletcher for DT help would be my preference.

Yeah but I wish I had not had that premonition... oh well he is going to the hated Pats at least it's a good team. Now we know who are six receivers are and Gibson is here to stay.

What's up with the hate for Gibson? No, he doesn't run a 4.29 forty, he isn't 6'4" - but he is physical and has improved steadily. He is a decent blocker as well. He isn't my favorite receiver either, but you have to give the guy some credit for busting his butt and making the team. I hope he surprises us and becomes a reliable target for Sam. If he can hang on to the ball better than in the past, he just may put an end to much of the criticism thrown his way ..

I agree Gibson was not the only guy that was dropping balls last year. Lets hope he has a break out year. I hope the hamstring is go to go. Lets get behind Gibby!

I bet that the Pats let Welker walk next year and he takes over for the slot position. Salas is going to be one of the best slot WR's in the NFL, take my word for it.

It will definately be a lot easier to reach that mark on a team that has 7 extra player in black and white stripes.

It is sad to see us trade a player with such hugh upside. Especially when we have some many 'unprovens' at WR. Let's just hope Fishnead knows something we don't, and it somehow bites the cheatroits in the rear.
