Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett is traveling back to St. Louis this afternoon, a league source said Friday. The Rams said Thursday that they wanted to have a decision by Saturday. The Rams also spoke with Garrett Friday and finalized the plans for him to come back. So despite the speculation that Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier or Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan could be St. Louis’ next coach, every sign now points to Garrett.

I think that's an assumption that doesn't past muster.

Last year Devaney was part of the group responsible for finding the new Head Coach for the Falcons. Jason Garrett was their choice, but he backed out after Jerry Jones paid him a boat load of money and promised him the Cowboys HC position when Wade Phillips left. John Shaw had nothing to do with Garrett being the Falcon's top choice when Devaney was there then and it very well could be that he is Devaney's legitimate top choice now too.

That said, I wouldn't read too much into this. What if, Garrett comes as the OC as part of a package that brings him and, say Spaguolo to the Rams? The last thing I heard was that Garrett essentially said either T.O. goes or I go in Dallas and T.O.'s agent said today he's not going anywhere.

Let it play out.

Why are we doing this, alot of my buddies have been ragging on me for being a rams fan, being on the east cost it is hard to see the rams play. If we hire Garrett I don't know what I am going to do.
