If true, I really hope Chip plans on selling the franchise within the next year. Because it is very, very hard to support it while a Rosenbloom is owning it.

Re: I just puked, and got very angry "Garrett on way to St. Louis"

I am really upset right now. I know nothing is set in stone, but this was the last guy I wanted, I'd rather have Haslett. This shows me nothing and I refuse to buy any Rams merchandise until things start looking better. If he is picked, I want Devaney to explain to all of us as to WHY this is OUR guy. Why.

Honestly, you guys, we as the fans should stop buying Rams stuff until things are better because this is absolutely ridiculous. I am sickened. I want Frazier or Spags, not this guy, NOT this guy...

Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett is traveling back to St. Louis this afternoon, a league source said Friday. The Rams said Thursday that they wanted to have a decision by Saturday. The Rams also spoke with Garrett Friday and finalized the plans for him to come back. So despite the speculation that Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier or Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan could be St. Louis’ next coach, every sign now points to Garrett.
Always glad to see my ostracized friend from the prairies of America poke his rebel head into the clan every so often in defiant declaration that he still lives!

A second interview could be prophetic that Garrett has the inside line, but I'm confused that the Rams would impose a Saturday deadline on themselves when you will have some possible candidates after Sunday's conference championship games. Really, I mean if you've waited this long, why not wait until after the Super Bowl and expand your options even further?

Again...glad to see you back Otto.

Man, Garrett does not seem to be a popular guy here. I guess you all saw something in your collective interview session with him you didn't like...

It's called being the only OC who was stymied by the Rams D this year.

The guy was chewing gum with his mouth open and popping it. I hate that.

I forget, how'd Tony Romo do in that game?

AMEN. This team is in a no lose situation with either LF, Spags or Ryan and they flirt with this. Hopefully, it's only a follow up interview.

Well, since Dallas has far more talent throughout the offense period, you'd think a borderline competent OC would still be able to top the Rams.

Something interesting to think about if indeed the choice is Garrett.

They had Ray Sherman and Todd Bowles on their list of candidates at one point. Don't know if they ever even talked to them, but I thought Ray Sherman was particularly a curious choice.

Could be that they wanted to talk to him a bit and get a feel for what Garrett's OC would be like?

And Todd Bowles possibly could come in and be the DC?

All three of those guys are either current Cowboys' coaches or were up until last year.

Maybe this has been in the works for a while now.

And boy, how nice would it be if Garrett could somehow bring Hudson Houck along with him to coach the O-line?

Why don't you just go ahead and do it now? The attitude of some of you amazes me ....
Because the hiring hasn't happened yet, and I think some of us feel this way and have a bad attitude because hiring Scott Linehan 2.0 isn't going to get us out of turmoil....it's just going to put us deeper in it...

OMG, yea I'm sure Falcons fans thought the same about Mike Smith last year when he was hired but I bet they wouldn't trade him for anything right now.

He didn't have Romo, but he had multiple good receivers, a good line, and a very good running game. He does not get a Mulligan for losing Romo. He has enough other pieces to overcome that loss.

EDIT-unless he constructed a very psychologically fragile offense that is ill suited to overcome adversity. Which also might be seen as a "flaw" in his coaching strategy.

Well, somehow they still outgained the Rams, putting up 341 yards of offense.

Barber went for 100 rushing, Roy Williams was new to the offense and couldn't contribute, and Brad Johnson threw 3 picks.

4-0 was the story of that game. 4 turnovers for the Cowboys, 0 for the Rams.

The Rams also scored 34 points and I doubt Garrett was playing or coaching defense.
