AugustaRamFan - is sitting in the middle of the road
I think Bulger has had enough....

Let me postulate.

I think Bulger is getting tired of St. Louis.

1) Off season apathy and comments about the team.
2) He cannot fill KWs shoes. He's good (note elite), but cannot make the key plays.
3) He finally shot off his mouth about the lack of work ethic or heart of his team mates (kiss of death....), and
4) Did you see the way he rolled his eyes in the 4th quarter, when the Rams were going with the no-huddle and he was taking a beating. A play was called in and you could see that he was visibly disgusted with the call. I have never seen a QB do that before.

I think Mark is playing out the string in STL. I will never question MBs dedication and toughness, but I think he has taken enough.

Does anyone else get that impression?

Re: I think Bulger has had enough....

I personally think you are making a lot of assumptions based on little facts. You or I have no idea what is going on in anyone's head. He could have been rolling his eyes because of mic problems. We don't know. Maybe he truly cares about this team and that is why he made the comments.

I get the impression that there are way too many people out there that are looking for reasons why Bulger should be a failure, and have there own agenda. Without Bulger. We have no offense. Remember that.

Re: I think Bulger has had enough....

I think that our "quiet" QB is done with being quiet. It may not be his non-game personality to speak out, but during a game he has fire and he wants wins.

If he is rolling his eyes at some of the plays coming in, then expect him to start asking for the ability to call his own plays or change plays at the line of scrimmage.

I don't think that Marc is done with the Rams, but other teams will sure be interested in him if the Rams don't lock him up.

I thought he was not happy with how long it took to get the play in. Just a guess.

Re: I think Bulger has had enough....

I sure hope the Rams tie him down to a long term contract..He is one of our best players and a proven play-maker..The last thing we need is to try and find a new QB..We have enough problems elsewhere!!:l

I've been fully disgusted this season, but that dose not mean I do not love this team. Bulger is our QB until he cannot perform at a high level Any, I don't know where you get this impression that he wants out of the Lou.

Re: I think Bulger has had enough....

Having played just about every major sport there is at various levels, and being a super-competitive person myself, I totally understand where Marc is coming from. He is nothing more than just frustrated. He cares, he wants to win badly, and he's seeing a lack of effort around him, and that is extremely frustrating.

Put yourself in his shoes, or should I say, cleats. You're giving it your all, and some idiot on the end of the line keeps missing the snap count. Guys are dropping sure completions all over the place, but he still manages to drive the team 99 yards for a score, only to see his poor excuse of a special team, allow a ninety-something yard return for a TD on the very next play. Talk about frustrating! He's busting his azz and getting his body beat up while others are simply going through the motion.

I can only admire his determination and desire, and I wouldn't trade him for anything or anybody. He's not the greatest QB to ever play the game, but he's damn good. He's smart and has the right attitude. If everyone on the Rams played with his desire and did their jobs as well as he does his, we wouldn't be the losers that we are.

Fortunately just assumptions...And the other thing is he CARES about this team. He has said it, just like any of us...We hate how crappy our team is, but we still care and love the Rams!

Um...Utter, he already has the power to call audibles as he sees fit. It was under Martz that he had no audible capability. As far as calling his own plays, I'm not sure any QB in the NFL does that today. And I agree with the other posters, the eye roll could have been just about anything. Nobody knows but Marc himself.

WHAT SAY YE?

Re: I think Bulger has had enough....

I don't think there is any evidence that Bulger is getting mad at the play calling. I think he is getting mad at people dropping passes, and jumping off sides. I also think he is getting tired of the defense losing games for our team. Bulger fits into Scott Linehan's offense perfectly. He is accurate, doesn't turn the ball over a lot, makes good decisions, and has a high completion percentage (all great traits when you have a conservative offense). I think Bulger has two downsides, one is he doesn't do a very good job of stepping up into the pocket (he takes a lot of sacks), and two he never takes over a game (only the greats do that anyway). All of our losses have been because of the defense with the exception of the Carolina (got shut out) and Chicago (special teams gave up two returns, missed a fg, and extra point). Bulger has put us in a situation to win in almost every game despite our defenses horrific performance. With that said, Bulger may not take over games but he also doesn't lose them. You have to accept him for what he is which is an accurate qb that makes good decisions and doesn't turn the ball over. Bottom line: if our defense could get its act together, we would have a great team. I think this is frustrating Bulger more than anything simply because he is a competeror. On top of that people are dropping passes and jumping off sides (you can't do that in a conservative offense). If anything, I would say it looks more like people are mad at Bulger because they keep dropping passes (not just this week), and jumping off sides (also not just this week). I would hate to see Bulger leave because he cares and he is a great qb that consistentley puts the Rams in a postition to win.

Re: I think Bulger has had enough....

I agree that Bulger is solid and is getting frustrated at others jacking up any positive momentum that we my have, such as false starts(yes you Alex Barron), the D getting cut up, etc.

Hard to do that when there is no pocket...
