    I was wrong

Let me be the first to say, "I was wrong". The change in HC was needed, and Linehan was the problem. ..or at least, a big part of the problem.

The difference in intensity and effort is night and day. Kudos to those that wanted Linehan gone and Haslett in as HC.

...however, I was right about the DC position. Venturi has made all the difference.

    Re: I was wrong

After the 1st TD by the Cowboys, I thought; "here we go again". But when the Rams came right back and marched down the field to even the score, I instantly saw something "different".

...they kept up the effort, they tackled, they pressured.

To see all the Cowboy fan's heads buried in their hands in disbelieve was a thing of absolute beauty.

I too was skeptical that firing Linehan would have a drastic effect on the team's performance. And when Haslett was named HC, I really had doubts based on his mediocre job as DC. But Let me be the second one to say I was wrong. Regardless the ending W/L record of this year's Rams team, they have shown me that they have the talent to win and they have shown themselves that they can be a force in the NFL.

If they keep giving the effort and can stay healthy who knows where they might be at playoff time. Go Haz! Go Rams!!

    Re: I was wrong

Well, I can breathe again! The Rams have beat two tough teams back-to-back and I'm one happy camper. High-Five to Coach Haslett & The Team. I will continue to wear the SLOP sign as a memento of why we started off in the mud.

Tomorrow will be a brighter day at work out here in Whiner Country!

It took some time, but I'm happy to see Linehan's system finally working for the Rams! NOT!

    Re: I was wrong

The only problem I have about the Linehan sacking, was that it wasnt done after we went 0-6 last season. We wasted a full year with that diddy in charge.

However, lets look forward to the good times.

You're absolutely right. Haslett has proven to be a far better HC than many of us thought, but Venturi's job as DC has definately helped him!!!

    Re: I was wrong

I don't know whether it's a lack of Linny or the heart of Haz that caused this....but I like it...a lot..

The Cowturds, as I surmised in the prediction thread, seem to have their own FO/coach issues undermining them. Their talent had masked it but injuries and complacency are revealing a familiar stench.

I'll wait a bit before endorsing Venturi. Health & players performing as we thought they could-Atogwe, Pisa, little,Long, and James "Bull" Hall have a lot to do with it as well.

    J. Hall....Lordy, even Deacon would give that performance a little nod.

When was the last time a Rams DE got sacks on consecutive plays?

It's not a trivia q. I know the answer to.

    As Hanifan says: Beautiful,baby,....just beautiful.
