    If Curtis moves on?

If Curtis moves on early in free agency, do we go after McDonald will a nice offer? One of McD issues was lack of playing time. Could he move up to play at the number three spot?

I say NO he has never convinced me as a player who is a number 3...I wouldn't bring him back, added to the fact that he doesn't add a whole lot as a PR..I would prefer a bigger, more physical WR who could really contribute Torry and Bruce...I would like to keep Curtis if the price is right,it is a big if though..:l

    Re: If Curtis moves on?

McDonald probably could fill that role, but if Curtis is not signed, I have a feeling the Rams will look to draft a bigger WR in the 3rd to 5th round of the draft.

In my mind, the decision to sign or not to sign Curtis should not be made based upon what he brings next year as the #3. Truth is, in Linehan's offense, the #3 is not as important as it was in the Martz system. So, if the Rams are going to sign Curtis, it should be because they feel they need to lock up a guy who will ultimately replace Bruce.

Frankly, for what I think it would likely take to sign Curtis, I don't think it would be money well spent.

I agree AV with Linehan scheme and the lack of three and four sets. Iím more concerned if Bruce goes down which he has and with Holt starting to get nick up every year. If we lose a starter it really will hamper us on offense. With Curtis coming off the bench really itís like having another one or two out there. I hope we can get a guy that can play if need be.

i think marques hagans and dane looker can come in and play that 4th receiver next while if curtis doesnt resign bring in someone like a high draft pick like a steve smith/one of the texas tech receivers or bring in a free agent like a peerless price or marcus robinson or even trade for moss...

you had some good points until you mentioned the trade for Moss, we don't need that kind of problem on this team.

Sorry I can't, but I remember a lot, if memory serves correct, he has quite a few fumbles, not only on catches but also muffes punts

    212 total touches (106 receptions, 7 rushing attempts, 61 punt returns, 38 fair catches) - 8 fumbles, 4 lost.

    Re: If Curtis moves on?

Kevin Curtis -- I would not like to see him leave. To me, he is an intelligent, play maker type of WR, kind of 'Ricky Proehlish' on certain passing situations. I don't believe he'd be too expensive in retaining either, or hope he's not.

Shaun McDonald -- would not mind seeing him leave. Seems to be average all around. He had a very nice 33 yrd. punt return late in the season that helped us defeat Washington ... but ... no, I just don't think he is keeper quality.
