If the EJD is closed for renovations, where would the Rams play?

If the Rams ultimately reach an agreement to renovate the EJD, and the renovations result in the facility being shut down for a season or more, where would the Rams play in the meantime? The current Busch Stadium can accommodate football, but its maximum capacity is less than 47,000.

Perhaps they could play at Faurot Field on the University of Missouri campus in Columbia (which, though I've never driven it, appear to be about two hours from St. Louis). That facility holds about 71,000.

    Thoughts?

I think busch would be great. Sure, its not a huge stadium, but of late, the Rams have not exactly been packing the dome with fans. I think that will change quickly once the Fisher led squad becomes a perennial playoff contender, but i dont mind some scarcity associated with Rams tickets and a loud crowd a few blocks from the Dome, rather than two hours away.

how about Arrowhead? we fans are atleast used to sitting in red seats..

seriously tho,i`m not that aware of what stadiums there are in the area. i wouldnt rule out playing in Illinois tho.
other teams play their home games out of state..(New York Jets/Giants among others)

I could almost see the Rams playing in Arrowhead while the dome gets renovated. After all, we know it won't happen this year, and likely not next year either, and by that time the Rams will be bringing in a HUGE crowd.

I have never set foot in that stadium for a football game, but I do know it holds a LOT of wasted Rock music fans.

    Somewhere OUTSIDE ...
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

If they are willing to go to London for the fans abroad, how about three home games back in Anaheim (seats are also red).

I have not thought about it but I bet Fisher has!

I would have to think that where they play is definitely part of the negotiations, so it may well be Busch Stadium.

Faurot Field would be cool though.

I would think Mizzou or Illinois would be the most attractive. Arrowhead is too far, and would be a scheduling nightmare.

Please, no. Even though it's just minutes away from my house, don't screw up the Big A with a football field.

But since we're talking about three "home" games that Fisher would enjoy. How about the LA Coliseum? Fisher has plenty of fond memories there....

If the St. Louis politicians had any brains at all, they'd be working to make sure Busch is the temp home for the Rams. They'd be fools to let the $$$ from those 8 weekends leave town.

Idk if Busch CAN be the temp home. Not every baseball field can be converted, and the expense to convert may be huge. Plus the Cardinals aren't going to sit quietly on the sidelines without asking for some compensation either. It's tough to share, and the seasons do overlap.

The previous Bush Stadium was converted into a football field. I don't think it would be terribly hard to convert the current one either. Also, having been to a few games there, it's an amazing stadium and would be lots of fun to watch football in.

I agree, it is a great stadium. However, a football field is 360 feet long by 160 feet wide. I'd have to wonder if the corners would fit without the walls being pushed back, which would be probably prohibitively expensive, plus that stadium is already pretty pitcher friendly without pushing the walls ever further back.

A decade or so ago, the Bears spent a year playing at the University of Illinois while Soldiger Field was renovated. It may be an o
