I make some decisions like these next year :

Re-work Jason Brown's contract because he doesn't deserve the 8 mill (estimate) he is supposed to make. Cut it down to 4 mill.

Re-work Jason Smith's contract down from 9 mill (estimate) to around 4 mill as well.

Extend Chris Long's and James Lauirnaitis' contracts.

Free up as much cap space as you can so you can go out and sign WR Dwayne Bowe and in the first round of the draft I'd take a WR too; preferably Alshon Jeffery or Michael Floyd.

Man, I wouldn't pay one cent over the league minimum for Smith. We already WAY overpaid him once. Starting to wonder if Barron wasn't better.

I think those are more of Deveny's doings then spags. but regardless, Brown needs to restructure his contract, Smith needs to massivly restructure his, he's getting paid like a pro bowl starting left tackle and hes playing like a rookie right tackle 7th round pick.

Long and Jlau are our corner stones on defense for many years to come.

Get Bowe in FA
get blackmon/Jeffery in the first, and hope floyd drops to the 2nd or move up enough to get him in late 1st round.

That gives us bowe, jeffery/blackmon, Floyd, dx, danny boy, clayton, curry.

thats a dang beaslty wr list, much better then what we have now.

yes gibson has made some plays, but im still not sold on him.

pettis showed punt returns arnt his strength, but he did catch some nice passes.

I like Kirkpatrick too but I think our weakness is moving the ball. We just can't do it. Our defense isn't even that bad. Imagine if we could pass? Our defense would be playing ahead for once.

I love the idea of Bowe/Jeffery.

I'm taking off the mittens.....it's time to go bareknuckle brawling with this team. Not one player or coach is safe either. This is just ridiculous!

If I am Spag's.........I consider flipping those OT's. People are knocking Smith, but I've also read analysis that he's not playing as bad as initially appears............however, regardless of that, Staffold isn't playing as well as last season either.

So, flip them. That puts Smith on the LOT and a move like that may just lite a fire under him due to his increased responsibility. It also throws a little water on the "so much money for a ROT' garbage.

Also, the flip may just focus Staffold. Much like when he came in and found himself lining up at LOT, being switched to ROT may lite him up due to it being so unfamiliar.

Bottom line for me here, things couldn't get much worse.
