If the Rams finish 6-10....
Would you be happy with their season considering all the injuries and the hurrendous schedule?

Re: If the Rams finish 6-10....
It really all depends on the teams progression at this point.
While 6-10 would not be a bad rebound from 0-6, we need to see some progress made by the team as a whole.
The offense is obviously of the highest concern. The defense has been performing well as of late, even with a massive injury list.
I'm looking for an offense that makes strides throughout the latter part of the season.
With no OTA's and training camp, I kind of expected a sluggish start by the offense. It takes time to learn and gel in a complex offensive system such as Mcdaniels. With that in mind, I want to see the o-line protect Sam Bradford much more consistently. Sam needs to figure this offense out so he can quit thinking so much and hit the open receiver in stride. Something he won't have a problem with once he becomes acclimated and isnt laying on his back. It will also be interesting to see how much more advanced our passing attack is with Lloyd and a health Clayton and Alexander. That trifecta sounds much more enticing than DX, Gibson, and a rookie.
With that said, six wins will be nice, but what I really desire is to see the offense clicking on all cylinders soon. This will give me much needed hope for next season.Last edited by FestusRam; -11-18-2011 at 11:56 PM.

Not a chance. Anything less than 8-8 is not acceptable...and 8-8 is the borderline. That goes for any season.

Yea i cant be honestly "happy" about 6-10 but it wouldnt be bad.Honestly i want blackmon really bad and i think he might go in the top 5 and with a 6-10 record i think we fall between 6-10 and i would be pissed if we miss out on blackmon because we won 1 more game lol.

Re: If the Rams finish 6-10....
i see what you guys are saying about blackmon, trying to be high enough to get them.
But after much thinking, i rather we win out a bunch of games and keep spags and mcd.
If we can get blackmon and keep Spags and co. id me very pleased, all the while wiining a good amount of games the rest of the season.
I want the rams to win as many games as possible, if they 6-10 ill be dissapointed, but not as dissapointed as being 2-7.

Before the season, I was looking forward to a year where we would no loger be the doormats of the NFL. Then, the 2011 disaster season took over. 6-10 is a silver lining. It would be a good recovery from the 0-6 debacle of a record but as others have stated, the losing record needs to get in the rearview mirror for ths organization and their fans hungry for better times. Silver lining yes BUT 6-10 still an unacceptable record.

While 6-10 is a disappointing record after our pre-season expectations, let's look ahead. We're not going to the playoffs so let's set-up for the draft and next year. We really to find a way to draft Justin Blackmon and we'll need to be among the top 6 picks for that and ahead of Minnesota for sure. Secondly, we may as well play a 3rd or 4th place schedule next year. That means facing Tampa or Carolina and Philly or Washington, plus home games against New England or New York or Buffalo. Lastly, I think Spagnuolo's job is safe for at least 1 more year. So let's set ourselves up for a better 2012. Meanwhile i don't plan to root against us, but if we lose which we certainly will some more this year, then let's look towards next year.
Go Rams!

Re: If the Rams finish 6-10....
given how we've played, I'm not seeing where those 4 wins are coming from.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Re: If the Rams finish 6-10....
Not happy. No. We got taken to school by every team in the NFC East and buried when we played contenders like the Ravens and Packers. I'd rather win 4 more than lose them, but knocking off a few of our weak division's teams isn't going to change the fact that our team is cellar level competition in the NFL today. I think we're past the point that this season could really be considered a success overall. The best we can hope for are reasons for optimism going into next season.

Additionally, I have never agreed with playing for a draft position. Any player or coach that would attempt such a thing should not be in the NFL.
