if you could add one defensive player...
i am too stupid to be able to post a poll. But, if you could add one defensive player, who would it be?
For my money, its julius peppers, ahead of champ bailey. We need pass rush more than anything, more than corner. With a stud pass rusher on the other side, leonard would be singled up all game long.

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
I'd put Fat Pang at right defensive end! Let him have some paybacks!

I'm thinking Tommie Harris of the Bears. Young DT who excels not only against the run, but applies pressure up the middle.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Have to go with my boy Brian Urlacher in the middle. Put witherspoon on the outside and now we have a solid midfield.....

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
Hard to argue with Peppers, he'd probably be my choice.
However, there is a rather unconventional side of me that would love to see the Chargers Jamal Williams in our 4-3 in a double NT alongside Jimmy Kennedy. Our front four pass rush would be better, assuming Little would see fewer doubles, but our blitz packages would be incredible!"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
Give me Jacksonville's John Henderson. Del Rio says he's the only "three gap" tackle he's ever seen. Great run stopper, and he picks up a few sacks here and there, too. My second choice would be Champ Bailey. I'd feel a lot safer running all these blitzes knowing we've got someone we could leave in man coverage all day if we wanted to.

Julius Peppers is a no brainer. What DE bookends Little and Peppers ! That should help tremendously with the Travis Fisher thread.

I would take any and all mention above. That being said I would add Champ Bailey. He would really fill a need and mentor young Hill.

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
Champ Bailey and i dont even think its close. We have talented LB's some good talent on the line, safteys are a little above avg. id say. But the cb's are weak. Champ in that D and we would be top 10 without question.

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
For all those wanting Champ Bailey.......without a pass rush, Champ Bailey looks a lot more human than he does now.

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
Well, it seems pretty obvious that we all think there are still a couple of holes in our defense. I've always said, when you build, you need to start with the line (that's on either side of the ball). That being said, we need interior help. Harris or Henderson sound real good to me.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
Although I really want to go with Julious Peppers or Tommie Harris, I have to go with a Mr. Vince Wilfork. I live in NE so I have to see him play a lot. All I can say is that with him and Jimmy Kennedy is an insane combination. That would free up single blockers on either Little or who ever we chose to start alongside him.

Re: if you could add one defensive player...
peppers is a great choice, but even if he were to get 20 sacks and that is being very generous,it still leaves our somewhat weak cb's exposed,so give me a pro bowl corner and T.Fisher can be demoted to gatorade functions manager.
