If you had one wish before training camp
What would it be?
RULE: You can only focus on things possible. Bring Kurt back doesn't count. Or signing Payton Manning. etc...

Sign Orlando Pace to a long term, cap friendly, deal.

Re: If you had one wish before training camp
I wish I knew emphatically that Leonard Little will be able to play the whole year. I'm not here judge anyone on a personal level, just as a football level.

Mine would be...
...to trade our first round pick next year for Adewale Ogunleye. He could fill a void if Little is lost or step in and play in Wistrom spot. Gives us a Guarantee

Re: If you had one wish before training camp
Pace's long term deal probably ranks as the top.

Re: If you had one wish before training camp
Sign the Big Man long term. Definitive clarification of littles status would certainly be nice, but all indications and reports are that the nfl will take no action pending resolution of the court case and most recent reports are that this wont litigate until after the season is over. The bigger question with little is whether he can play at the highest level and stay out of any additional trouble with this hanging over his head.

Re: If you had one wish before training camp
That's a good idea, but how do we sign him long-term? He's reportedly looking for a deal along the lines of what Kearse got this season and what KGB got last year. That means we're talking about a contract close to what Faulk signed a few years back.

Re: If you had one wish before training camp
Not to be facetious, but how can you have rules governing wishes?RULE: You can only focus on things possible.
What's the fun in wishing for something that's easily obtained in a different manner. Sounds like a wasted wish, if you ask me.
However, in keeping with the spirit of the thread....I'll play along.
Here's to wishing that Marshall Faulk's last two seasons were a fluke...and that he returns to the form he showed from 1999 to 2001 for at least another 3 years.

I want to see that the O-line has come together as a unit and is ready to mow-a-row for Faulk and Jackson.
