Re: If it was your choice
If I had to choose one it would be Fisher but I still wouldn't mind going the coordinator route for a coach

Re: If it was your choice
I would prefer Jeff Fisher but only if he brought in an OC like Norv Turner.
I believe that Fish is a good HC, but offense ain't his thing....

Re: If it was your choice
I think Gruden would be great for Bradford. I have heard rumors that Gruden said if he was the rams coach he would get rid of bradford. If so I see trading him to cleveland for a 1st and 2nd or 3rd round draft pick. Then get RG3 with our first pick and Blackmond with our second first round pick.

Hmm, Gruden only because I haven't heard Fisher broadcast any games.

Seriously, it's a tough call. Both HCs bring a good set of attributes and results -- I just think that Gruden might have that 'unique' edge on offense.

Fisher. Gruden uniquely needs 30 year old QBs to be successful on offense.

Re: If it was your choice
Fisher, and that's saying a lot because I hate all things U$C. Gruden has not shown an ability to cultivate and train up a young team. He relies on bringing in vets that are good for a short window of success. Just because he has a ring and Fisher doesn't, don't let that blind you to the fact that it is widely accepted that all he did was win with Dungy's team. Fisher had success building a team that got to a Super Bowl and then fought a fairly successful battle against Peyton for much of his HC career where he had to rebuild and retool. As it is, he left the Titan franchise in pretty good shape. What happened to the Raider after Chuckles left, what happened to the Bucs long term under him?

If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

Re: If it was your choice
Good point. Gruden actually had a hand in two Super Bowl teams in the same year.
That said, this is a difficult one for me. I like both guys as tough, no nonsense leaders who always gained the repect of their players. I guess I'd have to go with Fisher because of his sustained level of success, but I'd be happy with Gruden as well.

That was all Barrett Robbins fault .....

Re: If it was your choice
If I could have voted none of the above, that would have been my choice. I selected Chuckie because I believe the reports that he is obligated to ESPN, and cannot coach next year.
I will always support the RAMS, even if they move back to LA, but I will be waiting for him to fail and get fired if Fisher is our next coach.

Re: If it was your choice
The Raiders' self-inflicted wounds contributed some to the length of the drought, but that doesn't change the greater issue of how Gruden did not leave any young players ready to step up when Oakland's old players faltered. Ownership alone can't assemble a decade-long playoff drought and a 4-12 season following a Super Bowl trip.
