If you're looking for improvement, look at the OL

Right now, if the Rams carry nine OL on the roster, it will likely be the following six players:

    Jason Brown (C)
    Jason Smith (OT)
    Jacob Bell (OT)
    Hank Fraley (OG/C)
    Rodger Saffold (OT/OG)
    Alex Barron (OT)

Along with three of the following players:

    Mark Setterstrom (OG/C)
    John Greco (OG)
    Phil Trautwein (OT)
    Roger Allen (OG)
    Adam Goldberg (OT/OG)

That is a lot more talent than the Rams have had in a long time. Truth is, the Rams were in position to have a very solid O line last year until the injuries started piling up. Now, with the addition of Fraley and Saffold (and the subtraction of Incognito), the Rams have even more talent.

When your best player is a RB, and your biggest investment for the future is a QB, that's not a bad place to start.

Good point. I'm really excited for the O-line this year. I still think a veteran WR will help our offense a bit more, but this is a good foundation

Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

    Couldn't agree more!

I like the way this is unfolding. Yes it's not flashy and exciting but I think Desags are holding true to their statement when they started, build through the lines.

    We must have faith!

The O-line is looking like of the strongest parts of the Rams, great work on the part of Spags and Devaney.

I'm not sure if Barron will still be there come opening day. He'll probably get traded for some future pick. I really hope Greco challenges for a starting spot.

Still have a soft spot for Greco, really hope he will succeed! Seemed to have all the tools if we had patience, this season will show it.

I'm not expecting the O-line to just start dominating next year, but I am expecting steady improvement. It's gonna take some time for the young guys, but they've got enough talent to turn in to some good players.
It's time for Smith, Brown, Bell, and Barron SHOULD be playing like some of the top O-linemen in the league.

Here's to hoping that we actually have a healthy O line this year! That alone will lead to wins!
    I believe!

Tough pill for me to swallow, but I really like what every other team in the NFC West did including your Rams. Your offensive line should be a strength once Saffold gets up to speed. I'm not saying the Rams are going to be world beaters this year, but your offense has a ton of good young talent and I wouldn't be surprised is you started to see it come together in the second half of this season.

It looks like it could finally be coming around on the line, but because of how long that unit has struggled, I'll believe it when I see it.

If Saffold can be solid, and Smith shows improvement with no lingering side effects of his concussion, and Bell shows some results of bulking up, then I think this o-line will be very good.

You guys had a very good draft IMO.

Okung, Thomas, and then Tate. Then Thurmond. Sheesh.
