Ike Moves Up The Ladder
Lost in all the hoopla against Detroit was the fact that Ike moved into the all-time top 10 in receptions, passing Larry Centers and Keenan McCardell for 9th place. Next up on the hit list, Irving Fryar. Is the guy amazing or what?
The Hall beckons.

Isaac is one of the greatest of all time. Where are all of the people who said Bruce is done (forgetting the real reason why he didn't do well in 2005 was because he had the turf toe injury that hampered him most of the year), or Bruce should be the #3. They are nowhere to be found. Never count out Ike.

He's definitely an ageless wonder who is still near the top of his game. He'll do a lot more damage before all is said and done.

Re: Ike Moves Up The Ladder
i think everyone know my position on the reverend just based off my profile name.... bruce should make it to the HOF but look even art monk isnt in the HOF yet so even though i hate to say this, bruce most likely wont be a 1st time ballot Hall of famer...

Re: Ike Moves Up The Ladder
Art Monk should be in the Hall, but I'm not so sure that Bruce won't make it in on the first ballot.
Let's look at the numbers. As of today....
Monk 224 Games 940 Rec 12721 Yds 68 TDs
Bruce 171 Games 833 Rec 12598 Yds 78 TDs
Now Monk played in 53 more games (so far) and Bruce already has 10 more TDs, in 2 or 3 more games he should surpass Monk's yardage, and if he stays on this pace for receptions he will pass Monk next year. All of this done in less games than Monk. There's my case for a first ballot induction for Ike.BRUUUUUUUUCE

Re: Ike Moves Up The Ladder
You never know what goes through the minds of voters, but I have no doubt by the time Ike is done, he'll be top 5 in every major receiving category and a lock.

Re: Ike Moves Up The Ladder
All you have to know is that people like Miklasz have a vote so nothing is certain.
Ike has a good case for first ballot.

Re: Ike Moves Up The Ladder
What is it now? Ninth in receptions, tenth in yards? Add in the Super Bowl ring which was heavily based on his adjustment to Warner's throw and subsequent TD run, and I think there's a strong first-ballot case to be made.

Re: Ike Moves Up The Ladder
Based on the fact that Ike always plays well against the Pack. He has a good shot at passing Monk this Sunday on the receiving yards list. Ike needs 124.
