Improved talent alone does not make a team.
The Rams have more talent than they did in 2011. There is no denying this.
The rookie class has contributed. FAs Finnegan and Dunbar have been solid additions.
But added talent alone does not equate to a better team.
Yes, the Rams need more talent. But, perhaps... even more than that, they need something they have not had in a long time.
CONTINUITY.
The Rams need to have the same core of players and, even more importantly, the same HC and coordinators in place for 2-3 years. They need to learn to work as a unit or... a TEAM.
That is the solution to the problems of mistakes that have, quite frankly, been the difference between a record of 3-6-1, and a record of 6-4, 7-3 or even 8-2.
Its going to happen, folks. The Rams will add talent to their core with their many draft choices and significant cap dollars to spend.
There will be a day when Rams' fans can wake up on a Sunday morning expecting a big win, and not be disappointed.
Its not that far off. The talent is almost there.
The TEAM will follow.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Youth is also a factor to this team's boneheaded mistakes, hopefully they'll learn from them as well. We are the youngest team in the NFL and today's game reflected that. I just hope Bradford doesn't continue to play like he did today.

Re: Improved talent alone does not make a team.
I agree with this. We are the youngest team in the NFL. Our team is made up of rookies, 2nd year players and 3rd year players and a few vets. The rookies need time to learn and learn the ways of the nfl. th 2nd year players need the same just a little less. And our 3rd year players need to gel with all of this. I hate waiting and i hate games like this. But time is what is needed with this team. Talent and players need times to adjust. My opinion on this matter.

A little bit of luck wouldn't hurt. Maybe a opposition fumble that doesn't bounce straight back to them. Perhaps the Rams get away with a ticky-tacky call on a long play. A holding call against the opposing offensive line is long overdue.

^i agree, i mean, SOME luck...ANY luck would help, tired of the ball bouncing the exact opposite way we want it, against the niners, fumbles by niners....straight back in their hands..
pead fumbles....SITS ON THE SIDELINE for a niner to pick it up
and the onside kick today.....right to a jets guy
unbelievable
