As expected, guard
Richie Incognito was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Incognito is the eighth Rams player — and third offensive-line starter — to
land on the season-ending list.
Incognito, who missed the first four games of the season with an ankle injury,
had knee surgery last week.
"At best, he would be available for the last two games" of the season, coach
Scott Linehan said Wednesday. "At this point, we've got to invest in who's
going to be available for the next seven games."
Linehan also noted that tackle-guard Todd Steussie probably will rejoin the
team next week after recovering from foot surgery in the preseason.
The loss of Incognito and tight end Aaron Walker (shoulder) this week created
two openings on the 53-man roster. On Tuesday, the Rams signed 6-foot-7,
306-pound tackle Mark LeVoir off Chicago's practice squad, and defensive end
Eric Moore was promoted from the Rams practice squad Wednesday.
