    Incognito goes on injured reserve

    By Bill Coats

As expected, guard Richie Incognito was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Incognito is the eighth Rams player ó and third offensive-line starter ó to
    land on the season-ending list.

Incognito, who missed the first four games of the season with an ankle injury,
    had knee surgery last week.

"At best, he would be available for the last two games" of the season, coach
Scott Linehan said Wednesday. "At this point, we've got to invest in who's
going to be available for the next seven games."

Linehan also noted that tackle-guard Todd Steussie probably will rejoin the
team next week after recovering from foot surgery in the preseason.

The loss of Incognito and tight end Aaron Walker (shoulder) this week created
two openings on the 53-man roster. On Tuesday, the Rams signed 6-foot-7,
306-pound tackle Mark LeVoir off Chicago's practice squad, and defensive end
Eric Moore was promoted from the Rams practice squad Wednesday.

The strangest thing about this whole story is that during the operation to repair his knee, Incognito awoke from the anethesia, reached up, grabbed the doctor's surgical mask, and then was flagged by the hospital's staff for an unsportman-like conduct penalty.

At least Steussie will be back soon then, looking forward to having him back. The question though, is who do we play at LT then, Steussie or Barron? I'm not sure what they'll do there or even what I'd prefer - but regardless our line play should be much improved with him back in the lineup. Maybe this will be an additional spark that with the Saints victory will help us mount a late-season rally...

I just got a message from Aaron Walker a few moments ago. He said that the surgery went smooth and that he is on his way to getting better.

Mark Setterstrom is recovering well from his knee surgery. The Setterstroms had a daughter on Monday. Mom and baby are doing great.

Keep all of our injured guys in your thoughts...or Richie will commit a personal foul on you!
