Re: Incognito's penalties: real or myth

Didn't he lead the league in penalties in 07?

I believe that would be Robert Gallery.

going by the stats there, i can see that cogs was penalised 13 times for 130 yards, with 3 being false starts (15 yards total) and 7 being holding (70 yards total). That means he has 45 yards left of unaccounted penalty yards, and three penalties to make up those yards.

That doesnt take a genious to work out that those three 15 yard penalties are personal fouls

No 4.5 sacks allowed in 13 game starts isn't great. Extrapolate that to Incognito's 20 starts, and assuming Terrel would have kept that form, then that would be 7 sacks give up in 20 games. Double that of Incognito

Well, that's not a direct translation because we don't know how much Terrell played in the games he didn't start. For all we know, he could have played almost the entire games minus the first few plays. Nor do we know how much of the games Incognito played in- especially considering his injury history.

I don't have a problem with Cogs. I just wish he's stop getting hurt. When he's in the game and healthy, he's a fine player.
