Inevitable visitor's question.

I will be visiting your fair city to watch the Rams annihilate the Packers this weekend, will be staying at the Hampton Inn near the Dome, and need some suggestions as to the best place to hang out (bar wise) prior to the Game Sunday.

I'd relly like to tailgate, but a) don't know anybody, and b) get the impression from the board the the dome isn't really set up well for it.

Thanks in advance.

Bonus question.

Why does the Referee say "Prior to the snap" on a movement call. That implies one could also get penalised for moving after the snap. Huh?

And just to cover a couple of other bases, I concur about our corners, don't like Cameron, Berlin's not the answer, but agree in letting him prove it, Haslett's staying put, Burwell's half an idiot, Dez's avatar creeps me out, still want Linehan gone, but admit to being curious about next year if he isn't, and...sorry, LOVE seeing Jackson in Linehan's face.

And WAY looking forward to seing the "Arch".

well...maybe the brewery too.

AtlantaRamFan - will become famous soon enough
Re: Inevitable visitor's question.

Haha, I don't know about the tailgating part, but as far as "prior to the snap" part, it's my opinion that is their way of saying it's a dead ball penalty, unlike offsides, where it's a free play. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

ps. Way to chip in on all the recent threads in 1 post. Bravo

Re: Inevitable visitor's question.

Ok, we'll see what I can do for you.

First off, Atlanta's correct, "Prior to the snap" just makes sure everyone knows that the play never happened.

There were lots of tailgaters around th edome for the Browns game, you can always try to mooch from them.

I mostly agree with your points I suppose. Ok, fine, I didn't really read them, you typed too fast and I just nodded and smiled. Have a good time this weekend!

Actually there will be a large tent set up accross the street from the Dome. Live band and plenty of beer stands. Open to the public.

BUD and BUDLIGHT everywhere!!!!

ENJOY!

Enjoy

Thanks, guys. Just hope my flight doesn't get canceled.

Looks to be kinda' chilly back there, for a Vegas boy.

It's a fantastic disappointment. Seriously, you get in this dryer drum-looking thing and go to the top to peer out these tiny windows. I was expecting much more out of it, I guess- kind of like out of the Rams this season.

Don't listen to him Vegas, I checked out the Arch during the Bash weekend and thought it was pretty cool.

And don't forget to check out Laclede's Landing on the waterfront just across the highway from your hotel. Lot's of great drinking establishments and eateries.

Re: Inevitable visitor's question.

Many of us have congregated at the Feisty Bulldog in Leclede's Landing. The Hampton has a great breakfast buffet....look for the sausage & gravy.
