Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
Jerome Murphy...
He'll be wanting to make a point and will be looking to unleash some aggression and pent up frustration over the last 18 months.

I went with Hoomanawanui, as I think Fisher's O will take advantage of his skills if he can stay healthy.
My second choice is Salas.

Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
It would be HUUUGGGEE if Jason Smith lived up to his potential but i went with Danny Amendola he was Bradfords security blanket and suffered an unfortunate injury week 1

The Rams need ALL of the injured to return AND make an impact if the Rams hope to be competitive this year. But having a healthy Bradford is going to have the biggest impact, I believe.

Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
Don't really remember much hype about "Uh-oh"... other than a couple flashes of brilliance his rookie year. I'll be happy if he comes into his own as a solid #2 and Kendricks gets his hands ready to catch passes from Sam.
As for that high ankle sprain, it definitely changed everything. Before the Packers' game, our offensive struggles entailed Sam making a beautiful throw that it the receivers' hands in stride and the ball falling to the ground. After he returned, the passes were more floaty and less on target, which made the aquisition of Lloyd unhelpful because even though he could catch, Sam couldn't always hit him.I believe!

Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
I think Fletcher is going to impress. Danny is an obvious one; I consider him reliable so I expect nothing less from him.
Who I want to prove us wrong more than anyone has got to be Jason Smith. I really want to see him succeed; not to mention we kinda need him to...

Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
Amedola is the only name on the list that can make an impact and on a real contender he would be a 3rd down receiver or 3rd or 4th option at best. Instead for the Rams he's the best we have at the moment. He's the only one of the bunch who isn't a draft pick? Murphy and Fletcher don't excite me at all. If we're banking on this list to be difference makers we have issues.

Did you see the "or" in "on a real contender he would be a 3rd down receiver or 3rd or 4th option at best.". My point was that if he's the best WR we have we are hurting. I don't see where any of the names on the list are potential game changers. If you disagree fine but don't tell me I don't watch football. I've been watching this team since 1966. Geez........................

Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
This isn't even a fair. Every Rams fan walking the face of this earth had a little bit of a tear in their eye when Danny Amendola got injured. We all saw our hopes and dreams slowly going out the window and every game, you saw it in Sam Bradford when he didn't have his Danny boy outlet out there to bail him out.
Sure, you guys can pick other players, but I promise you, if Amendola comes back and he plays next year, it's only gonna take ONE.
ONE time for him to catch a punt and you not have to hold your breath that it might be a fumble.
ONE time for someone to miss a block and Sammy has to sling one out really fast and who's there other than Danny boy making another amazing, diving through the air catch.
ONE time for Sam to be scrambling like crazy and finding none other than Danny boy in the endzone.
ONE time, to hear "And Sam Bradford finds Danny Amendola for the touchdown to give the Rams the lead"
The question isn't who do you hope, the question is who will. We all know what's gonna happen when Mighty Mouse puts his cape back on.Last edited by ljcrayton; -03-30-2012 at 05:41 AM.

Actually, I think Amendola is the most overrated Ram.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
I hope you are proved correct. I am not disparaging Danny's abilities - rather - it would be great if our other receivers grab big chunks of the spotlight (favorably of course) giving Sam multiple high threat targets! Salas, Smith, Pettis, DX, Kendricks and Blackmon come to mind ...

That's a good angle on Amendola being 'most overrated Ram' Maui! I like that perspective.

Re: Which injured player will return to make the biggest contribution?
It's amazing how fast memories fade. It's not Amendola's fault he was a slot receiver trying to fill a number 1 receiver spot in one of the worst offensive scheme's ever. He did what he could and excelled. He had something you don't see in stat books and at the combine...heart, and i'll take that over anything else i've seen from a Ram receiver in the last 5 seasons. (Lloyd being an exception)
