Steven Jackson Likely Out For Game Against Giants
Published: September 12, 2011 @ 2:18p
Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo addressed some of the injuries that popped up during Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Eagles. Here is the rundown.
Steven Jackson: The running back has a strained quad and is probably not going to be able to play against the Giants on Monday night.
Sam Bradford: The quarterback has a bruised right finger and is currently listed as day-to-day.
Danny Amendola: The wide receiver has a dislocated left elbow and is undergoing more tests. It's unclear as to whether or not Amendola needs surgery.
Jason Smith: The right tackle has an ankle sprain (though not of the high variety). He is day-to-day.
Ron Bartell: The corner has a fractured neck on two levels.
Bradley Fletcher: The other starter at corner has what's being called a sprained toe and is day-to-day.
More details from rams Park will be available later today.

Re: Injury Updates
OK, so the sky may not be falling but it's raining pretty hard & that's a lot of broken windows to fix in this storm of an early schedule.
Not to be totally miserable Monday but I think there are some hidden injuries going on at other significant spots with Saffold, Hall, and Robbins. Hard to believe these guys would disappear in such an important game if they were ready physically. All three, iirc, have been reported to have back issues in TC/Pre. Looks like they were more than just precautionary rest periods, imo.

Re: Injury Updates
Man a fractured neck?! That sounds horrible. And it came on such a stupid play too. A run that Bartell just flung himself at the runner at the end of the play for absolutely no reason. Man thats sad to hear for him as a person and us as a team.

Re: Injury Updates
Rams fans have injuied psyche, during GSOT days, you'd just sit back and enjoy the Rush.......after yesterday's game I had to rush for the ROLAIDS.

Re: Injury Updates
I hope this doesnt end his career, if I was him I wouldnt rush to get back. Knowing Ron Bartell though, he should be back at some point this season.? If he is given the nod of the doctors.???
Amendola is also a bummer, but Im not his biggest fan anyway and Im kind of hoping Salas can become a bigger, better version. ?Last edited by GROUND DOG 39; -09-12-2011 at 04:16 PM.

Re: Injury Updates
As much as I'd like to see Jax back asap, They do NOT need to rush that injury as it could haunt us all year.
... and yes, I 'sit back and enjoy the Rush' quite a bit!
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

Re: Injury Updates
Hopefully Jax will return soon, but if he needs to sit out a while, we do have the BYE during week 5.
Maybe by week 6 the entire team will be as healthy as possible... although it looks like Bartel is done (really don't want him to make that injury any worse than it is!) and Danny may need more time.
Hang in there guys, nobody said it was going to be easy!
