Art Shell always had undisciplined Faider teams and his players never really respected him. Who could forget Jeff Hostetler fighting on the sideline with big Art after being pulled from a game?

Shell has been actively looking for another head coaching gig, interviewing with numerous teams but getting zero takers. I wonder why?

Al Davis gave him what he requested and then for them to get beat 51 - 3 in one playoff game and then score 6 in the playoffs the next year..

An offensive guy like Davis was not going to stand for that type of offensive output in BIG PLAYOFF GAMES.

It just maybe that Shell was the only taker.Ram front office might have interviewed a number of people for head coach,and also remember that minority applicants get the 1st interviews.Someone might have jumped to conclusions when seeing Art Shell at Rams Park.

It's mandated they have to interview Minority candidates.. , TRUE, but I don't think Shell is worth an interview.

Seems like many other teams, GM's, and Organization's have agreed with me over the past 11 years.

Add that to the fact that i've just picked my jaw off the floor in shear amazement and embarrassment that the high school team from the Bay area has just clean sweeped us on the season....

Ya I know its tuff , Its when the 9ers beat us twice . Their alot of places to blame ... Iam sick over this ... The only thing I know from living in the past with this team is I hope and pray its better next yr and Iam really looking forward too seeing what really happens in the off season ... he is somewhat of a pawn for the league to help teams fulfill the minority interview requirement... at least he has been the last couple years. it would not be all that surprising to me if he was interviewed because the FO does not have any other minority canidates they are interested in.
