My brother's girlfriend's mom's best friend is step brother's to Billy Devaney. My bro's girfriends mom was at a new years party that Billy was also at and she knows I am a big Rams fan so was getting information for me.

And...

Billy has privately been visiting Michael Vick in prison, this makes sense as Billy was with the Falcons in their personell for years...

No offense intended, THOLTFAN81, if you are sincere about your source, but you have to admit it strains credulity.

That having been smartassedly said, I like the line of thinking that would have the Rams/BD considering a Vick/Garcia type back-up for next year. Someone with experience but the mobility/improv skills to offer a real & competitive/strategic alternative to Bulger,not just an ancient clone or raw journeyman.

It is nice to know that Michael Vick has friends that are visiting him, but I think it is a bit too much of a stretch to assume that Devaney is looking to make him a Ram in the future just beacuse he is keeping in contact with MV.

I am sure Billy is too smart to tell non-rams employees of his desire to pursue a player currently in Jail. According to every quote in recent days, he hasnt even started into free agency or draft prep until a new coach is hired.

It's posts like these that get me completely fired up- and not in a good way. Just what we need- rumors about a convicted felon who abuses animals and absolutely sucks as a quarterback being envisioned as a future Ram. Absolutely no 'effin way would I tolerate the thought for a second.

We don't know that this is a bogus thread. People are free post things and yes people do hear things that football insiders talk about. This could be true, what is the big deal? At this point, you should consider this thread to be a rumor and wait it out and see if anything official is said later on.

Forget about the fact that he was a mediocre quarterback at best, there's no way Devaney would be foolish enough to bring in a franchise killer like Vick. The public outrage, protests and negative publicity would be devastating for a team looking to avoid distractions, bring back the fan base and turn things around.
