People like to bash Martz for his "emphasis" on the pass, but fail to take into consideration that it's because of these pass-heavy drives that the Rams are still in the game. The only scoring drive in the second half came on a drive made up entirely of passes. The Rams' first touchdown drive of the day was basically all passing. The Rams' second touchdown drive? Didn't call a run until they were inside the Giants' ten yard line. The following field goal drive? All passes. Like it or not, passing the ball was getting the Rams down field, and getting them points on the board. The best thing the running game got the Rams all day was a fourth down conversion on a drive they promptly blew with a gimmick run play.
