It's here finally!!!

Okay folks bear with me for a minute.

I've added several ingredients to the "Pot of the Future".

Ingredients are as follows:

RAMS 2008 Schedule
Torry Holts Jersey
Marc Bulgers Helmet
Orlando Paces Shoulder
Richie Incognitos Temper
Will Witherspoons Cleats
Tye Hills Socks
A lock of hair from Steven Jacksons head
A page out of Jim Hasletts blitz package book
Jeff Wilkins kicking shoe
Skin off of Scott Linehans you know what

Everything finally cooked down and the "Pot of the Future" is predicting a RAMS record of 9-7 for 2008. Making the playoffs but getting knocked out in the first round.

The one glaring question the "POT" can't answer is if this is enough to bring Scott Linehan back for a 4th season as our Headcoach.

What do you think???

I think we will go 10 - 6 or 11 - 5, win our division and go deep into the playoffs.

Re: It's here finally!!!

I would be surprised in all honesty if we made it to 10-6 Ramer.

I think we atleast do 8-8. Maybe even 9-7. I think we'll be better than last year, but we won't be the Giants of 08-09.

I think 9-7 and getting knocked out in the first round of the playoffs will be enough to bring Linehan back.

For us to have a sniff of 10-6 we'd have to have the same starting O-line for at least 14 games. Right now, that's pretty iffy with 3 former starters coming back from surgery ..

Re: It's here finally!!!

Seems like we are getting side tracked in this thread. The "POT of the Future" has already told us that our record will be 9-7. Also tells us that's good enough to get into the playoffs but lose in the first round.

The question is whether this is good enough to bring Linehan back?

It would depend on many things I would guess. How we get to 9-7 would be paramount IMO. If we went 6-2 in the first half of the season, and finished at 3-5 losing our last three in a row, I think Scott would be history. Conversely if we start out 2 and 6 but finish out the second half 7-1 winning our last 5 in a row and making the playoffs, that very likely would be enough to save him. Another issue will be whether or not Scott can rejuvenate his relationship with the team's core offensive players. One thing is sure, and that is: winning equates to happy players ...

True enough Maui. Look at Coughlin. He was dead man walking at the end of the 2006 season. Had to beg ownership to come back. He was given another year and he went about winning back his players with his leadership council and other changes to his methods. The players bought in because they were given responsibility and accountability for the own fate.
9-7 might do it for Linehan if the players are behind him at the end of the year.
