I just realized that the Rams' current troubles are my fault.

Let me explain.

The first NFL game I ever attended was on October 12, 1975. It was the Miami Dolphins vs the Philadelphia Eagles in the Orange Bowl in Miami. Miami won 24-16. I was 7 years old. For about a year after that, I considered myself a Dolphins fan.

Only one problem... I didn't like being part of the crowd. Growing up in South Florida, most of the kids in my school were Dolphin fans. I (yes, this will come as a great shock to many of you) was a contrarian. So I changed my allegiance to one of the Dolphins biggest rivals - the Baltimore Colts. At the same time, I also chose an NFC team to root for - the Los Angeles Rams (I liked the uniform).

So, for about a year or two, I was a Colts and Rams fan.

In 1978, I decided to put my eggs in one basket, and chose the Rams as my one team. I never looked back.

Now, 33 years later, there are three teams who have fallen to the bottom of the league: the Dolphins, Colts and Rams.

Clearly, this is not a coincidence.

Clearly, I did something along the way to cause the fates to react this way.

I don't know exactly what it is that I did, but all I can say is, I'm sorry.

Me and you both. My high school team went 0 for the world during my 4 years. My college just got blown out by Oregon putting up a mighty 2 points, and since I've joined this forum, the rams have won 13 games... in 5 years. I always feel like I bring my teams down.

Or better yet, disassociate yourself from the Rams, then become a whiners, Seahawks and Cardinals fan. That way, you can undue the terrible pain you have caused Rams fans around the world. Sorry isn't going to cut it.
