It's official: The Rams are picking 14th in the 2011 NFL Draft
Preliminary thoughts on what direction you'd like to see them look with that pick?

Re: It's official: The Rams are picking 14th in the 2011 NFL Draft
I know I am going to get skewered for this but here goes.....
while most are going to say Julio Jones or Justin Blackman, I get the funny feeling that the Rams don't want to add another young wideout to the fold.
Well, at least in the first round that is.
So, I say the Rams go D Line with their first pick. Someone like Ryan Kerrigan, or Adrian Clayborn or maybe even Allen Bailey could be in the running.
WHAT SAY YE?

Re: It's official: The Rams are picking 14th in the 2011 NFL Draft
After tonight... the reflex response is receiver.
Thinking about it though, I want whatever top 10 guy drops out. Against real QB's(not Whitehurst), we need corner help, OLB help, can never have enough good DE's, could use a massive run blocking guard, a backup to Jax, and then yes, receivers. TE I think we're fine with Onobun and Hoho with full offseasons.
My top 3 would be a stud Will Linebacker, Corner, or Reciever.I believe!

I would like to draft Ball Sack, from University of Testicular Fortitude ...
We don't seem to have a Ball Sack on this team ...
It's really not going to matter where we draft with this coaching staff in place ...

Wideout. Trade up if you have to.
In the 2nd or 3rd get an RB. Our coaches seemingly hate Darby's guts for reasons that defy logic and reason, and Jackson cannot continue to shoulder the full load on offense.
Honestly, I'd go heavy offense in the draft. You can't win with a defense first strategy in the new NFL, and we aren't paying Bradford the GDP of a small third world country to be the next Trent Dilfer.

Julio Jones or Justin Blackmon, providing either is available. Notwithstanding Free Agency, I can't see any other direction which would benefit this team more right now.
What do you reckon, Nick?

Get Julio Jones and do what you have to in order to get him. I don't care if it involves trading up, we've got to bring in a talented WR, and I am in love with his blocking abilities as well.
Or see if we can make a package deal for Larry Fitzgerald. Crazy, but I will only be happy if we come out of that pick with a stud WR.
