    I like:
    Von Miller
    Stephen Paea
    Akeem Ayers
Julio Jones (although, he drops a lot of balls, makes me nervous)
    Mike Pouncey

    Man R.I. I love you!
But on a serious note: "With the 14th pick in the 2011 NFL draft. The St. Louis Rams draft.....Alabama WR Julio Jones.

For me corner back is the number one need. reciever a close second. DT to give Robins some help and OL to protect our QB and to create some holes for Jackson.

Re: It's official: The Rams are picking 14th in the 2011 NFL Draft

Afraid it IS 15th pick, after all...

First 20 picks of 2011 NFL Draft determined
    By National Football League
    Published: Jan. 2, 2011 at 11:44 p.m.
    Updated: Jan. 2, 2011 at 11:52 p.m.

The draft order for the first 20 selections of the 2011 NFL draft have been determined.

    1. Panthers -- 2-14
    2. Broncos -- 4-12
    3. Bills -- 4-12
    4. Bengals -- 4-12
    5. Cardinals -- 5-11
    6. Browns -- 5-11
    7. ***** -- 6-10
    8. Titans -- 6-10
    9. Cowboys -- 6-10
    10. Redskins -- 6-10
    11. Texans -- 6-10
    12. Vikings -- 6-10
    13. Lions -- 6-10
    14. Dolphins -- 7-9
    15. Rams -- 8-8
    16. Jaguars -- 8-8
    17. Patriots (from Raiders) -- 8-8
    18. Chargers -- 9-7
    19. Giants -- 10-6
    20. Buccaneers -- 10-6

Picks 21-32 will be determined by playoff outcomes
It's only one pick, but still...one more to trade up, if we have to.

Personally, despite the improvements, I think we still have a lot of needs before we're good enough to compete outside the division. I think we are on the verge of being the best of the West, fairly comfortably, but after that...well, I think we've still a ways to go.

As said, I think we need to work FA for all we can (and with Kroenke now in place, hopefully we'll be able to make some big decisions this off season) and draft after that, based on need.

It isn't; the article incorrectly lists the Rams' record as 8-8. With a record of 7-9 and an easier SOS than Miami, St. Louis will be picking 14th.

    Julio Jones or Justin Blackmon.

I really think the Rams need TWO starting WRs. I'd love to see two of the following players in a Rams uniform next year (I don't count A.J. Green simply because I don't think he lasts until pick #14, though if he did he'd be my first choice):

    Julio Jones - D1
    Justin Blackmon - D1
    Sydney Rice - FA
    Vincent Jackson - FA
    Malcom Floyd - FA
    Jonathan Baldwin - D2
    Ryan Broyles - D2
    Michael Floyd - D2/3
    Leonard Hankerson - D2/3

Good spot...I'm obviously still in denial about last night

Yep, 14th it is. Thanks Nick (and for the edit - will do in future).

I say go BPA. I don't think there's a position on this team so solid as to pass up a BPA to select a specific position.

And what if that is QB? Don't tell me one bad game and you've given up on Bradford's career as a whole.

BPA can be tempting, but if it is say LT, sure our offensive line had it's problems, but there are other areas of bigger concern (Plus our two tackles are young) such as guard even, and tackles don't always slide over well to make good guards.

Detroit took the "BPA regardless of position or team needs" every year for a long time, and they wound up with a stable of underachieving WRs and a ton of holes that were never filled due to constantly drafting the same position.

You obviously can't draft purely for need, but BPA isn't the solution either if it means drafting the same position over and over and not upgrading the roster.

I'm still in favor of OLB or DE, or maybe a DT is billy and spags thinks the guy is special.

I assumed it went without saying, but obviously it doesn't; therefore, I'm not advocating a QB in round 1.
Detroit took the "BPA regardless of position or team needs" every year for a long time, and they wound up with a stable of underachieving WRs and a ton of holes that were never filled due to constantly drafting the same position.
It seems to me they did the exact opposite of drafting BPA. The Lions drafted based on a specific position, and it sat them back years.

I just don't want this team to do the same.

Look at what Maurice Pouncey has done for the Steelers line this year? His brother Mike would solidify that RG spot and give us a backup Center in case Jason Brown gets hurt... I say go Pouncey
