Peace from California!
Please bear with me here.
I thank Wraith for posting this article from Bryan Burwell from the St. Louis Post Dispatch. The problem that i have with the article is that the writer seems to be more worried about putting butts in the seats in St. Louis (via a marquee player, Steven Jackson) than a concern about what is best for the Rams team as a whole. Thus, partially, contributing to infighting in the Clan about geographical "differences". (O.K. i'm done with that)
On the Jackson vs. Rams front:
Jackson is holding out for a huge contract and more importantly "guaranteed money".
The Rams want Jackson to be in camp before negotiations can continue.
Both sides seem perfectly happy to hold their respective ground.
( hypothetically) If the Rams organization views this season as an "also ran" or a "work in progress" then wouldn't they actually be better off (money wise) utilizing Pittman and Leonard this year. That would give The Rams the upper hand in negotiations with an expiring Jackson contract.
Make no mistake. I want the best product possible on the field. But i am less than happy with Jackson's attempt to hold this team hostage , thinking that he is the key to success.
We have a lot of areas to work on. I say, SCREW Jackson. ....And RAM ON!...... In other words. Move forward!
