Its pretty obvious whos to blame here...

First of all great win I'm pumped!
IMO Shurmur called a great game today. One of his best ever
The only problem with our offense was the line. They couldn't get even an inch of push on the line. That's embarassing
The passing game really stepped it up and executed most of Shurmurs calls effectively.
It infuriates me to get on here and see people bashing Shurmurs playcalling that really was quite good. If the o line run blocks we run away with this game
With that said let's go beat the hawks and prepare for the playoffs

But when it is apparent that the OL cannot beat the DL, you have to use misdirection plays or something else that is working. It's useless to keep running the same feild losing plays over and over. That is what we are complaining about with Shurmur. He cannot seem to figure that out.

I'm still not in love with Shummur and I rather not see him around next year. However, I realize thanks to the huge improvement in the teams record, he won't be going anywhere soon. Still, I feel that he has hurt the Rams as much as he's has helped them.

We used quite a few end arounds today, if I'm not mistaken.

I think we did a good job of attempting to address this situation, and it was easy to see that the week link this week was our offense line. They simply couldn't get the forward push needed to spring Jackson free.

The whiners have a great run defense so I dont want to hear about our o-line's execution. We attacked them in the air which is where you beat the whiners. This was a very good game play calling wise.

I do agree most of the year though this guy has been weak but I cannot beat him up when he does a great job.

Well your gona hear it. Ok so because the niners have a good run d that permits the line to get there asses handed to them. Your just making excuses and basically implying they're weak if they can't handle a good run defense right? Thays what it sounds like

When it comes to Shurmur his year has been iffy but comon look what's he's workin with and either way I was talking about todays game no other.

I understand that he has limited waepons to work with, I just don't like how he usually calls games. For example, sitting on leads instead of trying to score points or aggressively move the ball, he doesn't show an ability to use players better to create mismatches, etc. He just strikes me as the type of offensive cordinator who will stick to a game plan no matter what and can not adjust on the fly when he has to.

Don't get me wrong, he called a good game today, I just don't like the fact posters are pointing out that he had a good game on any particular day. I'm not trying to bash the guy or trying to deminish the win. I just don't want an offensive cordinator who looks like he is learning on the job.

After turning in a disappointing first half, I was pleasantly surprised to see the offense develop some sense of urgency and creativity in the second. Shurmur needs to do things like this if he wants us to continue trusting him with Bradford's development.

One question I would ask, based on our poor run performance is "where was Darby."

I believe he was hung out to dry on a screen pass and lost close to 5 yards. That may have unfairly sealed his fate for the day.

Honestly i am not very versed on whos to credit or blame as far as play-calling is concerned with a football team as i am a novice fan imo, but i think Shurmur is doing fine considering the Rams are short-handed at WR. And i tend to give Bradford enormous credit to throw for basically 300 yds again with not much help at WR. I have been outspoken about loving Denario but this unit is still mismatched imo. Best case scenario, 1. Avery 2. Clayton 3. Amendola 4. Alexander
Avery is similar to Santana Moss, who is all or nothing if he is able to get deep and stretch the defense. Clayton seemed to be amazing earlier this year but has generally been a #3 at best. Amendola has been a God-send all the way around, but i would prefer to see him in the slot with some help around him. And DX can stretch the field and come up with some great catches esp on fades. Trust me, i watched every one of his games at Mizzou and when healthy, Denario is a game-breaker!

And to sum up my previous post, i understand most of these guys are out until next season, but just saying that i think Shurmur is extremely limited in what he has to work with. I am still up in the air as far as my opinion of him going forward, but think hes doing well with what he has to work with. And i do understand that the conservativeness of our offense has cost us as well when we do get a lead

I like Shurmur he does great with what he's got. Most teams are still stacking the box against Jackson since defenses feel very comfortable in man coverage against the Rams' receivers. This offense needs a #1 WR to make the passing game a real threat and probably could do with a mauler of a guard to help with the run.

And I see they've added the flip-90 as well. I do wonder why the lack of play action, though.
