I've been Incognito for a while...

... and only able to visit here about once a week. This might be a tired topic, I'm not sure, but what does everyone think about my boy Cog so far? How's he played from week to week? Is his attitude more of a good thing than a bad thing? Should he stay at Center or would the line be better off with his physical talent at the Guard position? I haven't been able to catch many Rams games this season, only three or four, so I'm very curious about what everyone at the Clan thinks of my future Pro Bowler.

Peace,

-jake-

Re: I've been Incognito for a while...

Who are you again?

Your boy, Incognito, was called out by Bulger as not caring whether the Rams win or lose (no, no names were mentioned, but the press surmised that Bulger was talking about Incognito and Barron, and Bulger didn't disclaim that assumption). So if the leader of the offense thinks that Incognito is a bum, you can bet your boy isn't going to the Pro Bowl in a Ram's uniform. Personally, I don't blame Incognito or Barron. I think that the offensive line coach is doing a piss poor job preparing the line against blitz packages. Plus, the other linemen are old. Pace was hurt most of the year. My only observation of Incognito is that he needs to get meaner. The great linemen are mean and nasty. Incognito doesn't play mean and nasty.

Re: I've been Incognito for a while...

I want to see him at Guard more. I think that he has done well at center, but I think that he will become a rising star in time at guard if he can keep his cool and cut down on the unnecessary penalties.

Sheesh brm, you're on a roll tonight; first you wanna cut Ike and now you diss The Cog. I heard the Bulger interview in it's entirety on the radio and there is NO DOUBT in my mind that he was talking about Baby Alex. The only criticism of The Cog maybe his propensity for low snaps in the shotgun formation, but even so, let's not forget that he is basically playing out of position and had next to no time to prepare for the nuances of playing center.

To answer your question Jake, I believe Richie is playing well; but I firmly believe that guard is his best position and hope that the Rams put him back there next year. I'm excited about his long-term potential considering the fact that this is the first football he's played in about three years.

WHAT SAY YE?

Good to see you again, EDM! It's good to see you back and hope all is well.

I agree w/Country's and SFC's assessments.

Once he matures -- a process which I trust is underway -- Richie will probably become one of those OL notable for their aggressiveness and effective play. Scrapy but solid.

He has done well in that he filled in at center with very little notice after McCollum's season ending injury early on. He's already proven a real versatility in that respect.

BRM, between your comments here and the fact that you also want to cut the man Isaac Bruce,i would hope that the reasons behind this is that you have started drinking your holiday cocktails early.
