Haslett: Jackson should be ready for Pats

An MRI exam Monday on Rams running back Steven Jackson disclosed what coach Jim Haslett termed a “slight strain” of his thigh. Jackson will be limited in practice this week, but “should be fine for the game” Sunday at New England, Haslett said.
Backup safety Todd Johnson had the most serious injury in Sunday’s 34-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. He bruised a kidney and is hospitalized. He’ll miss a couple of games, Haslett said.
Defensive tackle Adam Carriker suffered a sprain low on his left ankle and is questionable for Sunday’s game.
Wide receiver Derek Stanley was checked out at a hospital after he sustained a concussion but didn’t spend the night there.
All for now . . .

Good news? That's GREAT news!
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
Grate news for SJ, I hate to hear that about Todd Johnson .
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
Terrible news about Todd Johnson though....
Jackson being fine is great news. I would love to watch SJAX run over the Cheatriots.
Carriker's loss will possibly hurt us. He's a good player and we need him in that line up.
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
Carriker loss hurts the most hopefully Glover can drink some of the fountain of youth juice James Hall and Little are drinking
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable

Hmmm, didn't see the game, didn't know that Johnson was hurt. Get well soon, Todd!
Yes, great to learn about the prognosis of Jax. // AC, you get well soon too, amigo! :ram:
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
action-jackson is going to run over those old men lbs they have in new england... its on like donkey kong.. who is Az playing next week?
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
This is tremendous, now I can finally exhale!! Doggone it about Todd Johnson. This kid has been playing "lights out" on the Sts and I've been hoping he could get some time in at SS for Chavous. BTW this really puts our secondary in a bind since we really only had 3 safeties (Chavous, O.J. and Johnson) on the active roster. Yeah, I know that R. Bartell can play safety in a pinch in the event of injury, but does anyone seriously want to move him from corner given the fact that he's playing at it at an extremely high level? Haz and Billy are going to have come up with something quickly or we could be caught short-handed.
WHAT SAY YE?
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
Questionable generally means 50-50, so I wouldn't count Carriker out yet.
If he can't go, Glover/Adeyanju should do okay.

Golf and ankle sprains.......
....low is always better than high.
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
man Stanley took a nasty hit, kinda scary seeing him just lay there like that..
Re: Jackson Should Be Fine; Carriker Questionable
As much as I hate to say it, might be a good idea to drop Stanley and bring in a new Safety. With Bennett, Burton and Looker all getting healthy again, Stanley's not as needed.
