Jackson Sits Out Practice
Jackson sits out practice
By BILL COATS | Posted: Wednesday, September
Running back Steven Jackson is on the sideline as the St. Louis Rams practice for the first time since Sunday's season-opening loss to the Cardinals.
Jackson had some inflammation in his knee after the game. An MRI exam showed no damage.
Also out today are wide Laurent Robinson (ankle), cornerbacks Justin King (hamstring) and Kevin Dockey (hamstring), linebacker Chris Chamberlain (toe) and tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (ankle).
Robinson also had an MRI, which came back clean. Chamberlain and Hoomanawanui are expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Re: Jackson Sits Out Practice
Laurence Maroney recently traded to Denver for a 2011 draft pick would have been
a excellent addition as a backup to Steven Jackson. It seems to me that some to me that some NFL front offices are willing to make moves to acquire veteran talent to help their teams win unlike the Ram's front office which seems to have no clue when it comes to acquiring team needs.

Re: Jackson Sits Out Practice
Either that, or maybe Maroney isn't any good. As for making moves to fill needs, is it my imagination or did the Rams' Front Office make a deal last week for a WR who had 10 receptions for 119 yards in the opening week of the season?
Spagnuolo has already been quoted as saying that Jackson will be fine and will be playing this week so, while I'd rather he be practicing today, I don't know that this is such a big story.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Perhaps rhis is not a big story so early in season but SJ39 not practicing aftger week 1 could be a big story in week 8 or 9. Robinson is ceramic or so it would appear.

Re: Jackson Sits Out Practice
If Jackson is still hurting after week 2 I will be concerned. Inflammation of the knee can happen for several reasons, hopefully it was just due to a tweak or something and just takes a few days to heal.

Jackson returned to practice today (as did Laurent Robinson).

Re: Jackson Sits Out Practice
Why is it every time any team trades for a player there is always someone on here complaining that we didn't trade for them?
