    Jackson Sits Out Practice

    Jackson sits out practice

By BILL COATS | Posted: Wednesday, September

Running back Steven Jackson is on the sideline as the St. Louis Rams practice for the first time since Sunday's season-opening loss to the Cardinals.

Jackson had some inflammation in his knee after the game. An MRI exam showed no damage.

Also out today are wide Laurent Robinson (ankle), cornerbacks Justin King (hamstring) and Kevin Dockey (hamstring), linebacker Chris Chamberlain (toe) and tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (ankle).

Robinson also had an MRI, which came back clean. Chamberlain and Hoomanawanui are expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

I agree. The team can play it down, but one game into the season and the reports on Jackson have been "inflamed knee", and "sits out practice". SHEEEEEESH is right.

    P.S. I can't help it, I'm a big time worrier.

We shoulda traded Bozo for Pennywise or Homey D. Now those were some badazz clowns.

One look at Gumby's squashed head & bug eyed grin & you know the guy is one concussion away from Droolsville. I wish we had Pokey; four legs good...two legs bad....baaah....

Laurence Maroney recently traded to Denver for a 2011 draft pick would have been
a excellent addition as a backup to Steven Jackson. It seems to me that some to me that some NFL front offices are willing to make moves to acquire veteran talent to help their teams win unlike the Ram's front office which seems to have no clue when it comes to acquiring team needs.

Either that, or maybe Maroney isn't any good. As for making moves to fill needs, is it my imagination or did the Rams' Front Office make a deal last week for a WR who had 10 receptions for 119 yards in the opening week of the season?

Spagnuolo has already been quoted as saying that Jackson will be fine and will be playing this week so, while I'd rather he be practicing today, I don't know that this is such a big story.

Perhaps rhis is not a big story so early in season but SJ39 not practicing aftger week 1 could be a big story in week 8 or 9. Robinson is ceramic or so it would appear.

Well I hope itís not a big deal but I canít help but to be concern. If SJ is slowed or have to miss time, I have no confident and whatís behind him. He has an awesome work load. I will defer to management wisdom on the backs but I am worried

If Jackson is still hurting after week 2 I will be concerned. Inflammation of the knee can happen for several reasons, hopefully it was just due to a tweak or something and just takes a few days to heal.

Why is it every time any team trades for a player there is always someone on here complaining that we didn't trade for them?

If you are the first to complain, you earn a point. Earn enough WDWTF? points and you can redeem them for items in the WDWTF? catalog.

See, all of this time I bet you thought such posts were merely mindless speculations...
