Jackson starting - Rams sign Cason

I am hearing Balzer is saying Jackson will get the start on Sunday, but on the other end the Rams have re-signed Avieon Cason. Not sure what to make of this.

--Also saying, Rams are a little concerned about the swelling in Jackson's Knee
--Cut Nick Burley and Justing Lewis

Re: Jackson starting - Rams sign Cason

:ramlogo: Howard also said that Jackson was on crutches Monday--that doesn't sound promising........Aveion Cason when he played for the Rams in 2001 was touted by some of the Ram players as being the fastest Ram, while other players felt Trung Candidate was. Eventually the two were matched in a foot race during practice--purportedly there were a few bets made as to who would win. Aveion defeated Trung to the surprise of many as he (Trung) had run sub 4.3 forties which was why Martz coveted him enough to spend a #1 pick on him.

Perhaps Martz is willing to try him on special teams returning kickoffs.....??
We'll see....

GO RAMMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jackson on crutches doesn't sound good.

If he has any moves at all, that could be something to get excited about! The Harris experiment isn't working. He just runs a straight line right up the back of his blockers.

Re: Jackson starting - Rams sign Cason

They've got nothing to lose to put Cason in at KR. He was pretty good at it. The main thing I remember is that at least he looked like he COULD break one. Harris will never break one.

MacDonald is no superhero at Page Ranking's either.

Jeff Wilkens was good at Kick offs vs. the whiners, but has been real spotty in getting the ball to the end zone. It's hit and miss. Anybody wonder if Stemke can boot it? Alot of teams use the punter for kickoffs if he can kick it farther than the place kicker.

Jackson on crutches is bad news.

Agreed, he seems to head backwards most the time.

Carolina is on the way and they have momentum on their side with 4 wins in a row. Granted two of those wins are against our division. but they still count as wins. I think this will be a tough game.
