Jackson strained his achilles??
This is coming from a second source and I haven't confirmed yet. I am looking into this.
According to kffl.com, the AP is reporting Steven Jackson strained his achilles heel in practice Monday. Coach Scott Linehan says that Jackson originally strained it last Friday. Linehan doesn't think it is seriousLast edited by RamWraith; -08-07-2006 at 10:24 PM.

found this in Coach's qoutes
On RB Steven Jackson’s condition/walking around with his shoe off) “He kind of strained his achilles. It bothered him last week. He’s been taping it since. In one of the drills, one of our special category periods, he strained it. It was just precautionary to keep him out. We’ve got another practice tonight, so we’ll see where he is.”

As long as the tendon isn't torn, this is a non-story. Just rest it and move on.

Well IJW, just to be on the safe side, I think I look foward to NOT seeing him.
I too hope it's nothing, of course, but until all the trainers, doctors and coaches are CERTAIN / POSITIVE that SJ is fine, let him be evaluated, treated and walked around until the Rams come home and he is back to 1000%

everyone gets hurt and strain something. i play soccer 4 times a week and im always pulling or straining something but play with pain anyway. if season started now, steven would've started and played with the pain anyway. it was just a precautionary to keep him healthy.

FYI, according to the AP, Jackson participated in all of Wednesday's drills and is ready to go for tonight's game.
