Jackson wants to Surpass 2500

Jun 8 Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson said he wants to gain 2,500 total yards this season. "Some people may feel that I'm reaching. But I believe goals are to be set, and then you just go after them," Jackson said. The NFL single-season record is 2,429 total yards, which was accomplished by former Rams RB Marshall Faulk in 1999.

I'm with him, I doubt he does it with the addition of Leonard but hopefully he can do it.

Honestly, I'd like to see him win games with the least amount of carries possible. But there's no doubt in my mind that he can hit 2,500, best of luck to the main man Jax.

With the additions of McMichael, Bennett, Leonard and Dante Hall shortening the field every once in a while I don't see 2500 yards in the cards.

While i certinally see him capable of beating it I dont htink the coaches will allow him to. Linehan is looking to the future with Jackson and doesn't want him to hurt himself. McMichael and Bennett will hurt the amount of times he gets the ball thrown his way and Loenard will get some carries and hurt his rushing attempts. I would certinally like to see him do it though.
