Very nice. While I don't believe Bell was playing up to his contract, he is more than capable as a starter. This is good news.

Agreed. We got that nasty right side (Smith, Dahl) and that more finesse type left side (Saffold, Bell). This will bode well. 5 capable starters, and only 1 new player. Lets get them to gel some more!

Absolutely. We didn't need another hole to fill and like you said, while he didn't play up to his contract, Bell has been a capable starter. A win win situation for everyone. Hopefully Bell gets some motivation from this and steps up his game.

Bell has always been a capable pass blocker, but has always struggled when trying to drive block directly in the run game. He pulls and traps pretty well, but when faced with a bigger lineman, he gets bullied. But now with the addition of Dahl, we can focus more on running to the right side, since we have three big, strong nasty linemen lined up next to each other (Brown, Dahl and Smith).

I hope his salary is at least cut in half. I am kinda glad he is back because it adds continuity to the line since Dahl is the only new starter.

The only problem I had with Bell was the 6 mil cap hit, now that he has a presumably more realistic contract I am very happy with our oline. Another great move by Billy and Co, this team is shaping up!
