Janoris Jenkins
I have to give it to JJ. He really stepped up his tackling yesterday, which I think was the one thing in the first two games where he looked a little suspect. He is still a rookie, and makes rookie mistakes at times (such as the play against the Skins) but he looks to have been a pretty great draft pick.
Just wish he had been able to grab that pick yesterday!

Re: Janoris Jenkins
at this point, he's playing better than i thought he would, stepping up to knock down passes, didn't know his open field tackling was that good, and hasn't gotten burned as much as i thought he might
best pick so far, besides zuerlein and hekker

Re: Janoris Jenkins
Im loving JJ and he's a bright guy as far as I can tell on the field. I heard this in an interview a few weeks ago and thought it was funny.
Dave Sarvad (i think) of ch. 5 news asked JJ did he pick #21 becuase he grew up in Florida and watched Deon Sanders when he was young. And JJ said "No, I wear 21 becuase Janoris wants to wear 21".

Re: Janoris Jenkins
Jenkins play hasnt suprised me one bit. I knew he'd have some rookie mistakes(hankerson TD when he got caught looking in the backfield), but I knew he'd be one of our best defensive players right off the bat. Hes that talented.
However, I want to compliment him on staying low key. We havent heard his name outside of football yet, and for a guy with as many red flags as he had, thats a HUGE positive.

Re: Janoris Jenkins
Hopefully he is not running a secret cat fighting ring or something...
Joking a side, he has been a real nice pickup for us. Even if Quick and Pead busts I think we will look back at this draft and smile. Brockers, JJ, Zuerline and Richardson all seem to be the real deal!

Re: Janoris Jenkins
He's been the best Rams draft pick since Steven Jackson. If he can continue to stay healthy and out of trouble, he'll be a pro bowler. Already has amazing coverage (lets probably like 2 or 3 catches a game), and is always around the ball. He's a great ball hawk. Its also terrific to see his tackling improve.

THE DREAM TEAM

Re: Janoris Jenkins
Don't get me wrong, I love that hit, even though it might be debatable if it was legal or not.
What I really liked was the smarts to know to pick up the ball and run to the endzone with it. And once he was there? No show boating, idiotic celebration. Set the ball down at the back of the endzone. Like he had been there before. This space for rent...

Re: Janoris Jenkins
The coaching staff clearly has a lot of confidence in JJ. At times yesterday they put him in the slot and sent him on blitzes, and also used him to spy Wilson to stop him escaping the pressure too much. He caused the McIntosh interception with his hit on Wilson too.
This guy is going to be a big ball player for this club
