He is a playmaker for sure but i agree i dont understand why he always plays off he gets back with the shimmy shake repeatedly.Needs to press more and disrupt the route.

It's funny, but I complain about him playing the QB too much, and the ONE time he does not, could have been an easy pick-six. Crappernick and the receiver were on different pages and Jenkins should have been able to easily cut the route and take it to the house. ..but he was dialed into the WR and didn't see the poorly thrown ball.

But you're right, both he and Finnegan were playing way too far off the line today. The Whiners are a dink and dunk WCO team and they were handing them first downs. Also, as I said recently, JJ needs to learn how to tackle. His shoulder tackle attempt on Davis was embarrasing. He leads in tackles soley because teams go at him. Lots of chances to make the tackle.

The kid made the play when it mattered though.

It was a fumble-6. Kaepernick had ran a HB option and pitched it, the ball went flying and Janoris straight up beat Ted Ginn when it came to fighting for the ball.

I would rather see him play off the line then get torched for big yardage plays. He's only a rookie and learning the receivers, wait 'til next year, he'll be even better.

Sure, its frustrating watching the corners play off the line and give up first downs. A couple of things. First, they are being coached to do that. Second, how many points did the whiners score? Last i checked, points allowed, not first downs allowed, is the key to success on defense.

Jenkins has all the upside in the world. Experience will make him better. As i said at the start of the year, he will be our best corner since leroy irvin or jerry gray.
