Jason LaCanfora: Jeff Fisher hired in Stl by Sun/Mon
Per Jason LaCanfora, who also gives some updates on some other locations:
Beautiful. Now let's finalize this and let this be more than just a rumor. I am fully in the fisher camp.Figuring Jeff Fisher hired in STL by Sun/Mon, and Mike Sherman in TB not long after. Romeo promoted in KC, Mularkey or Chudzinski in JAX

Yeah, he hasn't even interviewed yet. This is really quite premature if you ask me....

I'm assuming his sources are saying Fisher wont leave without a contract.

Re: Jason LaCanfora: Jeff Fisher hired in Stl by Sun/Mon
The Rams have to satisfy the Rooney Rule first, so unless they interview a minority candidate before or immediately after Fisher comes in, this does indeed seem a bit premature.

IMO, LaCanfora is simply speculating about how he thinks it'll shake out, hence the inclusion of three other teams in the tweet. This looks more like "educated guess" than it does "inside information."

Re: Jason LaCanfora: Jeff Fisher hired in Stl by Sun/Mon
Seems like a helluva lot of crystal ball gazing, but those predictions aren't that crazy.
Fisher and his coaching style would be a nice change from what the Rams have had under spags and it could produce results with the returning players. There won't be any more effusive praise about their "effort" or "heart" if the results are total suck on the field. Fisher brings real NFL experience as a HC that has been there, done that, and he's also not Mr. Nice Guy and there are some players on the roster with big contracts that need a solid kick right now. Most of those guys happen to also reside on our OL right now.

Re: Jason LaCanfora: Jeff Fisher hired in Stl by Sun/Mon
I agree with Nick's assessment- an educated guess/prediction on LaCanfora's part. Fisher interviewed in Miami today, and the Rams haven't met with him yet, nor have they formally interviewed a minority or anyone else. But I DO believe the Rams will have a coach in place no later than 1 week from today.

Cue Kroenke pulling "random black guy" literally off the street and forcing him to interview tomorrow.
I believe!

Re: Jason LaCanfora: Jeff Fisher hired in Stl by Sun/Mon
Well, he could just call Tony Dungy for an interview over the phone, (knowing full well Tony's done with coaching). That'd last about 30 seconds, and then on to the business at hand.
It'd probably go something like this:
Kroenke:.......ring.....ring.......ring.........
Tony:......Hello.....
Kroenke:.....Hey Tony, it's Stan Kroenke of the St. Louis Rams...........hello...........hello.........hmmmm, must've been a bad connection.

I just got off the phone with Jason LaConfora. He asked me to commend the person that predicted this was pure speculation. So, Nice job NICK FISHER!

Re: Jason LaCanfora: Jeff Fisher hired in Stl by Sun/Mon
I posted this in another thread yesterday ....
The Rams are reportedly interested in interviewing Dolphins interim head coach Todd Bowles for their own head coaching vacancy.
The Rams are widely considered the favorites for Jeff Fisher, whose agent is the father of the team's Chief Operating Officer. Before they can move on Fisher, though, the Rams will have to satisfy the Rooney role. An interview with Bowles would do the trick, even if it's an obvious sham.
So there you have it...

Re: Jason LaCanfora: Jeff Fisher hired in Stl by Sun/Mon
Not to sure people know who he is...
More than likely, the meeting with Bowles is a case of the Rams looking satisfying the Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview at least one minority for prospective coaching openings. The early favorite to replace the departed Steve Spagnuolo remains ex-Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, whose agent Marvin Demoff is the father of Rams COO Kevin Demoff.

As of earlier today the Rams hadn't even scheduled an interview with Fisher.
