    Jason Smith

So I used to give Jason Smith the benefit of the doubt, but I watched him closely in the Jets game and it seemed that every time pressure was coming to Sanchez, it was from the right side where Jason Smith was playing. I know a lot of people here were upset when he was traded, but seriously, he has made their offensive line worse. Cudos to whoever saw him as the weak link and got rid of him. Now he's the Jets problem.

Yeah he was the culprit in the Sanchez Strip Sack...though the Jets guy recovered it and actually gained 7 yards haha

Funny how it took Jeff Fisher and his staff to realize Smith was a bum.

He just got manhandled while he was in there. It was almost embarrassing to watch. The swap fo Hunter is looking more and more like a brilliant move.

We play the Jets this year, Chris Long is hoping he's the starter by that time.

For being an athletic offensive lineman, Smith does not seem to have the speed to prevent guys from turning the corner on him. Too bad, he had a lot of physical tools, but that's the risk of drafting for tools and hoping you can coach the talent up.

    Re: Jason Smith

The thing is that Jason Smith always seemed like a great guy, always worked hard and said the right things. I find it hard to hate or think ill of a guy like that. Perhaps he just topped out in college and just isn't good enough that this level. The guys I have problems with are the people who have the talent but waste it by not working hard like Barron or Wroten. I still hope Smith finds a role in this league.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. I feel the same way, I was always rooting for Smith but time and time again he couldn't get it done. It's a shame, but I hope he can find some resurgence in his career at some point.

Agreed. I was ready to get rid of smith in the off-season. He was a bust. I'm just glad hunter has been a good replacement
