Yeah it was guaranteed, we just thought you guys where taking that on. My point is Fisher and Co. really had seen enough in camp to pay 1.5 Mil to get him off the roster. They had already made him take a pay cut prior to camp.
I'm good with it, looking forward to seeing SJ run behind Dahl, Richardson and Hunter off the right side. So far Dahl and Richardson have created some lanes for SJ, something we have not seen in awhile. All three in the jumbo package should provide some holes.
You tell me, is Hunter solid in run blocking in that package?

Ryan believes Smith was hurt in St. Louis by unfair comparisons to Orlando Pace, a franchise left tackle. Smith agreed.

If brains were dynamite, Rex Ryan couldn't blow his nose. Nobody has ever compared Jason Smith with Orlando Pace. Contrasted? Absolutely. Compared? No chance.
I guess that's what was going through Smith's mind as he allowed one defender after another to get intimate with Bradford.
Re: Jason Smith to Jets (Not Finalized, yet)
If Smith believes that, he's delusional. He's directing blame elsewhere when he should be facing his own shortcomings as a player- which are numerous. When you're the number two overall pick in a given draft, more is expected. And Smith failed miserably in that regard.
Re: Jason Smith to Jets (Not Finalized, yet)
Its really not a fair comparison...

Pace is a much larger man than Smith.
