St. Louis Rams tackle Jason Smith left practice early today after he and defensive end Chris Long banged heads during practice.
Smith "was a little bit fuzzy," coach Steve Spagnuolo said. "We’ll see where he is going forward."
Smith sat out the last six games of the 2009 season after suffering a concussion and experiencing recurring symptoms.

Oh! Banged heads....that's a little more severe than brushed heads as was earlier reported.
No matter, Smith needs to toughen up!
Re: Jason Smith Leaves Practice Early After Blow To Head
Wouldnt they have hit with equal amount of force? Thus doing the same damage to chris long?

Not necessarily.
Do you think all those hits that many players were fined for 2 weeks ago happened with an equal amount of force by both players, thus doing an equal amount of damage?

Let's just hope Smith doesn't add a new meaning to the phrase "head case". Such a great kid with a strong attitude and loads of potential, I would hate to see his body continue to let him down.

Absolutely. This youngster is too valuable an OL and, obviously, too high a draft pick to have him carry this burden.
May he get well soon, strong physically, and play as expected. :helmet:
