Jax had a torn quad
Per RotoWorld:
Steven Jackson-RB-Rams Dec. 7 - 8:05 am et
Steven Jackson reportedly wants "everyone to know" he is returning from a torn quad muscle, not a strain.
That explains why it took him so long to recover, although the severity of the tear couldn't have been too bad. Torn quadriceps often knock players out for the season. Jackson is back to full health now and should get a full load against the Cardinals. Play him with confidence.

Re: Jax had a torn quad
Why didn't Jackson want "everyone to know" he had a tear from the beginning?

Re: Jax had a torn quad
I knew it had to be more than what they were telling us, because I just couldn't see Jackson out that long for a strain.
I think I heard Haslett saying Jackson got winded towards the end of the game and at various spots last week (I think Jackson said he didn't, so...), which is expected coming off injury and minimal/no practice. Let's hope he really is back to full speed this week.
