Phil Dawson must be the favourite now for the GM spot.
ok, so we have our coach and although it was a long week we acted promptly and aggressively as an organization.
We haven't been the first to act in the off-season for anything in years. I applaud the aggressiveness of going after you wants fast and hard, no matter if I agree/disagree.
The last 3 years have felt passive in nature with the offense, the off-season, and the management. I truly feel that Stan is taking an aggressive, high-accountability, merit approach that must be appreciated and carried out by the new staff.
Best of luck to Jeff Fisher and the New Rams of 2012 and beyond..
Stan the man that can. Were Back Baby.!!!!!!!!!!!
We will rally around Jeff Fisher, and we will play good football...
YES! AWESOME! Did I tell everyone how FIRED UP I am! PUMPED!!!
Finally a real HEADCOACH!!! This is FANTASTIC!
And now... I get to gloat a little.
I posted this on November 6, 2011:
I have read some reports of "rumblings" that the Rams might be interested in Jeff Fisher if Spags is let go.
Let me say that, while I am not convinced that letting Spags go is the answer, I am a fan of Fisher and would support his candidacy for the job.
The guy has a proven track record as a coach (winning %, playoffs, Super Bowl appearance). His teams were typically tough, physical and often played above their perceived talent level.
Great news! I am still not 100% sure about Fisher, but I am very happy that for once the Rams went for the big name and also got him!
Now lets get some wins and take the NFC West crown!
On a side note, wouldn't it be kind of fun if cardinals or seahawks landen Manning as qb. I would like to see Fisher face then :)
Now its getting exciting to see who we bring in as gm, dc and oc.
over / under on the first "Fisher must be fired" thread? 3 games?
It'll happen with the first "BRADFORD SUX!" post, which will likely follow the first incomplete pass.
Great news for the Rams! Now lets get readty to win some games!
Congratulations and good luck!
Having said that...
It's WIN or GO
I am undoubtedly happy that he has been hired, despite leading a picket riot against him of late. It was more just me being a guarded Rams fan, and preparing myself for the worst...an impatient one at that. I've barely been able to sleep these last few days wondering what he was going to do, and I guess it was because I wanted him. On a side note, I think we interviewed some great candidates, and Horton + Chudzinski are going to be good coaches for a team some day. But atleast we know what we are getting. Bring in Cortland Finnegan Fisher.
One more note...Going to definitely make for some good bulletin board material whatever week we play Miami this season, thats for sure.
Btw...Insert Foot in Mouth.
