Jeff Fisher made a point to GZ, and I'm glad he did.
Conventional wisdom says you go for it on that 4th down, 66 yarder is near impossible outdoors. We had plenty of time and a time out, so that wasn't a factor.
He made a point to Young GZ make or miss, we trust you. Even after you missed two, we trust you with a 66 yarder, where no other team would with any other kicker.
Even though we lost, I'm glad he made this point. I really expect Legatron to bounce back, and I am calling it, he will beat the NFL record this year!
All that being said this one definitely hurts (just like the Lions game). Glad to see that we are dissapointed in close losses that come down to the last possession And not about games where we are no where in. Now, we some how, some how, some how, need to pull out one win before the bye week (packers and patriots). Hope we do it!

I would have gone for it on 4th. GZ was sailing everything left, and I didn't like the conditions for a long FG. That said, I'm not upset over the try, and it was exciting. Too bad he didn't adjust his kicking angle just a bit right to compemsate.
I'm still thrilled he's our kicker, and still have full confidence in his abilities.

It shouldn't come down to a rookie kicker. The Rams needs to figure out how to stick the ball in the end zone.

Well, it appeared to have the distance, but hooked left just like the first two misses. Close, but no cheroot.

I'm curious to see how he bounces back next week. I'm sure he will get at least 3 attempts against the packers.

I dont know if you guys read a post from a dolphin fan, who I guess was at the game, but he said that it was really windy in the stadium. I guess what Im trying to say is, have those kicks been in a dome maybe he goes 4/5 and we win the game. Just saying

Correct me if I am wrong. All three missed kicks had right to left wind. All three started out just left of center. All three missed left of the left goal post. Either something happened (muscle pinch or pull) or he just did not adjust for the wind even after the first two tries.
Not complaining much, he is now a good kicker and will be a better kicker for us in the future. And I would bet money that he will break the distance record. Just think he missed mentally today...This space for rent...
