Jeff Wilkins was a holding penalty away from the record!
Hedgecock got penalised for holding on a Wilkins FG attempt that he converted, and the follow up FG from a further 10 yards back crashed into the upright
Its quite sad, especially since there isnt really a need to be holding on a FG attempt

Good point...they scored so many FGs I got them mixed up. If that's correct the Rams recovered the fumble on the 3 yard line, and had to settle for the 41 yard FG attempt. Regardless if he has the record or not, it is almost common knowledge in the football world that Wilkins is the best at what he does. But yeah I would have liked to see his name in the record books.
